Ezzard

Even though Britton came out better head to head, I was more impressed with Ted "Kid" Lewis being a top class fighter from Featherweight to Light Heavyweight, and turning in some great performances against opponents who had clear weight advantages.

Tsk, tsk, only Martin recognizes the ever-underrated quality of Bat Battalino.

How is it that everyone here has already accepted Kid Chocolate (who was whupped by Battalino) and is now pushing for Freddie Miller and Fidel LaBarba (both also whupped by Battalino) yet Mr. Battalino himself goes unnoticed?? :-?

MUST I once again deliver my annual pro-Battalino diatribe?? :x

Make it Holman Williams his resume is excellent he went 3-3-1 with Burley 1-1 with Archie Moore 2-1 with Lloyd Marhsall he also has wins over Aaron Wade, Jack Chase, Eddie Booker, Bert Lytell, Cocoa Kid (although the Kid normally got the better of Holman), Kid Tunero and many believed he desreved the decision against LaMotta (Holman was basically shot at this point and jake was in his prime). He should have got a title shot against Zale but was denied I believe he would have beaten Tony as well.

I don't believe he's eligible (he fought too recently).

Cast a vote for LLOYD MARSHALL instead. :TU:
