Gotta go with Ali, none of the others imo had so many high profile names on their record as Ali, he arguably beat 3 all time top 10 HW's. all 3 he stopped, 2 of which he dominated.

In numbers, Rocky Marciano, World undisputed Champion, but in history, Henry Armstrong.

In the golden times of one and truthful World Champion, and only eight weights, he held simultaneously three World Titles (near of the half of all World Championships were on their hands!!!): Feather, Light and Welter; and when he search another crown, fought a draw as a Middle... What a man!

- Fantastical career, but of his featherweight crown, Petey Sarron and Leo Rodak claimed the NBA share, Mike Belloise and Joey Archibald claimed the NYState share, and Maurice Holtzer of France claimed a share.

Cerefino Garcia never held more than the NYState middle title, and the Armstrong draw was only recognized by California for a world title. Freddie Steele was the "lineal" champ and Marcel Thil claimed a share as well.

Title disputes of all manner are a by product of land disputes and ongoing, not just confined to today.

Freddie Steele was never the lineal champ.

- He is now. He's the electron squeezed between the front and back electrons of your lineal thinking, all you can see at any one time. Topic has to change for you to eliminate him!
