I really don't know if I would support him or not. I'm torn because of the fact he is Australian and as most of us would concur we have strong passion to support our own boys, but if he does win the title, we all know he is going to serve up the same old bullshit as usual by fighting average Agentinians mixed in with the occasional 5+ years past prime decent fighter.

On the comments about Mundines impact on the sport in Australia. He has raised interest for sure but theres so much more he could have created had he only stepped up to the mark more than once in a blue moon. As was said earlier, Green did get a good payday due to the fact he was fighting mundine. I watched the green-mundine fight on ppv at a mates house and I know it was huge in australia, but when I went to see danny's title challenge against drews I couldn't even find a pub to watch it at. Mundine was definately the draw.

madball mundine was a title holder in the above weight so i dont think it is a real cheat i understand where you are coming from but we have seen fighters go to a higher/lower weight and not even have a fight at that weight before fighting for a title
i will support mundine but do not support his stupid actions or comments

That is right, Mundine needed Green also. But at end of the day if Mundine Didnt exist, Green may be just as popular as Michael katsidis or Vic Darchinyan (which non boxing fans really know of, unless they watch sports tonight at 11pm at night).

A mate told me that he banned the Australian flag from being in the ring for the Taylor fight. Is that true?

Ahh, thats what it was. Still, how can he expect Australia to support him if he does stuff like that!?!

Mundine seems to to have shut his mouth. He is one of aussies best boxers and at the world stage I would support him, as long as its not against another aussie. lets get off the Danny green thing and see what choc does from here on. :shame:
