I mail Miranda's promoter - he's going to be fighting between 168-175, no opponenet named yet.
Doesn't seem that he will be based in the UK as he's flying in the week before.

Looks like he's fighting Joey Vegas.

What about Darren Barker fighting him? Or is it too soon?

What weight would they meet at? I doubt you'll ever see Miranda agreeing to a below 168 lbs catchweight again, and there's no way he will fight at 160 lbs again. Barker would have to move up to 168 lbs.

I didn't realised he'd moved up. Haven't really been following his career since the Pavlik defeat which was at 160. Ignore my post!

Miranda is a huge weight drainer. He should really be fighting at light heavyweight. He'd better not face a huge puncher at super middle.

He's been ruthlessly exposed and blown away the last two times he's stepped up to world level.
"World class star" is a fair enough description I'd say. Think he knocked down Pavlik, went life and death with AA and blasted out Eastman, that's world class for sure. And his punch power makes him a star - knockouts draw the crowds.

Dodson Vs Miranda?
Over in 3 BRUTALLY one sided rounds I think.
And no Tony, you would be the reciever and not the giver.
Brave of you to call for a fight that you know a) you wouldn't take and b) can't be made though.

I think Brian Magee -Miranda would be a good fight if Magee gets past Dodson.

Respect to the guy if he's willing to fight Pantera, i wouldn't wanna fight the fornicator!

I think Miranda might be looking at bigger fights after this second tune up.
He's probably looking to get a title shot against the winner of Froch-Taylor or Bute.

Magee vs Miranda will be good, I think there are some underating of Magee around the boards. For me, he beat oakey... and was giving Froch all kinds of problems and definately edged Tsypko IMO. Again depends on the definition of world class, but Magee is close to it IMO.
