you could never compare mundine to hopkins
but mundine could spoil pavlik and not let him set and get one quick punch in then retreat for the next minute
ben do you think seeing what hopkins did with speed against pavlik that pavlik would be as dominant against the middleweights of the 90's in jones jr mcclellan and a prime hopkins etc
would mundine drop weight then to dominate a weight class or like when he started he joined the division with the weakest champions in ottke and bayer and now that kessler and co are in smw mundine decides to drop again to an easier class

RJJ and Hopkins are all time great fighters, Pavlik couldnt beat either of them.

Interesting to hear peoples comments.
This is new territory for me, so here we go, i honestly believe Mundine would beat Pavlik.
Pavlik telegraphs and is slow as any average middleweight i've ever seen at the elite level.
hopkins beat him with good movement, but Hopkins mixed it up and it wasn't just side to side, he came forward and beat pavlik to the punch.
Taylor tried to trade as did Miranda and we don't really need to mention Rubio, because he just turned up for a cheque.
Mundine just needs to keep moving and hitting and he'll win, if he wants to trade with Pavlik he'll eventually get dropped.
If he doesn't fight Pavlik he will always be remembered as a cat IMO.

Mundine would move alright, he would run for his life. I'm thinking something like that Dirrel Stevens "fight"

Pavlik inside 8!
I seriously hope this goes ahead but I honestly doubt it will. Far too big a step up for Mundine. Mundine would land slick counters for the first few rounds but Pavlik's aggression, heart, power and workrate would catch up.
