Wasn't a bad beating like some of the others mentioned but Lueshing vs. Trinidad??

Paul Lloyd took the most savage one round beating I can remember against MAB, he had no right to be in their (he’d never even fought at superbantam as far as I know), Lloyd was also way out of his depth against Tim Austin.

I’ve never seen Honeyghan vs Breland, I reckon Lloyd was shot going into this fight, he got counter punched to pieces against the magic man and I think the beating probably ruined him.

Tyson v Bruno II – Bruno was scared shitless and got cut down like a big redwood.

Woods v Jones, Hunter vs Molitor & Steve Foster v Winky – I seem to remember these fight been entertainingly one sided.

Loughran really drew the short straw against Lopez, an unknown Mexican who just happened to have a cement head and cement fists.

Clarke didn’t do at all badly against Vargas, everyone knew that Howard was way out of his depth but he gave Vargas a few things to think about, afterward Fernando’s team said that Howard gave Vargas more problems then Campos did.

Nicky Piper and Mark Prince took almost identical beatings from the Michalawski.

Danny Williams got absolutely hammered against Vitali.

Woods let down the entire nation with his performance against Tarver (where was the belief).

Locket was horrendously outclassed by Pavlik.

honeyghan did look completely shot.

it wasn't just that he got well beaten.

it was the manner of it and the abuse he got from the crowd that makes it the standout for me.

surely the ultimate humbling of a british boxer. :(

Mayweather v Hatton wasn't exactly an even fight either and Floyd really began to batter him from round six onwards.

Bradley v Witter wasn't close either, how Junior felt he should have won was beyond me, I thought he won 3 rounds maximum

Bit harsh, i wouldn't of said Pat was outclassed, just caught by a hell of an uppercut , remember Pat had taken Sanchez the full 15 previously, so he belonged in world class.

Its can just happen sometimes, look at Conteh v Matthew Saad Muhammad, toe to toe for 15 rounds in the first fight, then in the 2nd Conteh was blown away in 4 one sided rounds.

rd 8 was when he started getting it really.

got outboxed in the 9th and stopped in the 10th.

hardly a complete drubbing.

Everyone was expecting a long frustrating night for Azumah, but that x-rated left uppercut he threw was maybe the best punch the Mighty Warrior ever landed.
No shame for Pat though - he'd recently given Sanchez a close run over 15, who was arguably the P4P#1 at the time.
Has any Brit fighter ever had a harder ask than those two world title shots?

I think Jennings showed a lot of heart and was in no way disgraced. He is a top professional and I'm sure he will bounce back.

Cotto seemed to think he was a good fighter and that's enough for me..

Howard Clarke got the shot because he had just beaten Jason Papillion, and got his ranking, it was Vargas's first defence too so they are usually granted a gimme.
Howard did real well though and there wasn't much in the fight untill Vargas caught up with him in the 4th

Dodson was bashed up and exposed by an unknown African before he had the Winky shot

Yep, against Jose Luis Lopez, who later fought a draw with Ike Quartey.

Scott Welch vs Henry Akinwande. Absoultely dreadful.

I remember Paul Hodkinson vs Goyo Vargas being one-sided. Hoko was one of my favourites at the time so I was gutted at the loss.

Agree about MAB vs Paul Lloyd. That was frighteningly one-sided.

Duke McKenzie vs John Davison another that I felt at the time was surprisingly one-sided.

Ali v london Brian showed nothing & lay down from just about the first decent punch Ali threw he was scared shitless

MAB v LLoyd was as one sided as you can get, I don't think i've seen anyone look so beat up after just 1 round, but was a non title fight.

Honeygan vs Breland. Lloyd was so shot.

Since 1990 their have been a few caught cold, but in terms of being (brutally) one-sided I'd have to say Paul Lloyd against Barrera.

That was 12 rounds of punishment condensed into 3 three minutes . I really felt for Lloyd, who was always so brave.
