No way in a million years could Kel do Light Welter.He'll end up a light middle eventurally, I would imagine.

I think he'll be too much for Jennings (who I ahve a lot of respect for) as well as it happens,

I agree with Lennox and stand by what I said.
That's not to say that Brook couldn't boil himself down - but he's a natural Welter - for now.
I hope no one's filling his head with stuff about the weight.
It did nothing for Pickering boiling down.

I don't think Kell Brook or Jamie Cox (only 10 fights I know) would be
quaking in there boots with the thought of taking on Jennings.

In fact Id go for both of them to beat him. I sincerely believe Jennings
is a good boxer, but he has a number of weaknesses, though it
would be unfair of me to post what I think they are.

After Kell beat McIntyre he was walking round at about 10'10 for some time.

I'm not saying anyone is wrong about their opinion of Kell and his weight, just saying that some people believe that Kell might be able to do 10' without a problem. Kell is a decent size welter but perhaps he could be a big light-welter. Perhaps he will grow even more and then it will be out of the question - it's even poss he will end up moving up, but personally i doubt it.

At the mo it is just something that kell and his team are considering but it's on the back burner - no rush, he's doing fine where he is!

I'll tell you what though - if / when Amir moves up to 10st then you will definitely see Kell wanting to move down to meet him. He has wanted that fight for years.

Cant see FW or amir taking that fight.

it is a good fight because i think mike will have to much expirience for kell who i do rate highly.
i think mike's speed will be to much for kell who defence seems flawed at times and he hasn't been testd yet so it would be the acid test for the youngster

When was the last time BigLennox or twenty six weighed Kell Brook ?

Thaxton and Witter are in their mid-thirties and compete at a lower weight than when they were teenagers. Are they boiled down ?

Jennings looked gunshy before he was easily stopped by Cotto, so I'd expect him
to be even more gunshy now. I'd go for kell to win this, as I'm not sure jennnings
would take enough risks to win the fight.

Dominic is excellent at getting a fighter's diet right, and the weight right leading up to a fight.
However, sometimes a fighter's body just says "no this ain't right".
The kid's still growing.
Why force nature to go in another direction when the kid's a brilliant Welter and in my humble opinion can achieve all he wants to achieve at that weight - right through to World level.
What can Kel achieve at 140 with the issue of weight on his mind, that he cannot achieve at 147 without as much stress about doing the weight ?

No offence to the Sheffield posters and his pals on here but we're talking about Miguel Cotto and Kell Brook here, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

He's a good fighter, no doubt, but he's not there yet. Be realistic.

I think it would be an exercise in futiltiy in bring Kel down to Light-welterweight.I beleive it would make him vulnerable not effective.I'm happy to be proved wrong as I want him to win and win and I wish the Ingle gym continued success, but dropping that weight concerns me.

In March Boxing Monthly doesn't one of the Ingles say they should be able to get Brook down to 140 now he is off the hamburgers?!

Jennings will box his head off for 12 rounds if the fight was to be taken now.
