McGuigan made a good point there.

Barney's been whinging that no one wants to fight him, he gets a top opportunity to put his name right back in the mix domestically and after being warned and warned and warned, even about not being paid, he doesn't look like he cared and didn't learn his lesson.

Mcintosh is so open and basic, Barney might as well retire.

I've been a Barney fan, and was intrigued by that fight. Today was a fornicating disgrace, Barney got what he deserved............ what i don't get, it Barney has ability and a brain, he didn't seem to change his tactics when the ref continually warned him, he even warned him about him getting paid. Barney didn't seem to care which was disturbing. And all this after he's been whinging about not getting the fights.

It wouldn't be much fun to watch again, but I know what you mean - there was an atmosphere due to Froch.

McIntosh versus Francis, huh? The wheels on the bus go round and... then fall off. Danny's a tough customer with a good fighting attitude, but he's mistaking the seriousness of his training for imminent world-class hopes. Dean, albeit the faded version, is a bridge too far.

Barney was dire, he deserved to be bucked out. The way he strolled around the ring so calmly after the DQ made me wonder if he was going to do something crazy all of a sudden, but alas, no such drama :shame:

Didn't the promoter foresee that Matthew Barney would spoil? Didn't McIntosh prepare for such spoiler tactics?

Would the spoiling have been as big an issue if McIntosh had used his speed, height and some imagination, to get some things going?

I don't like fighters who are just in there to muck up the action, but maybe everyone else could have been prepared better? I mean, this was McIntosh's big step up i.e. look impressive or get a good result.

They should show both fighters the Rogan vs Skelton fight. Barney can then figure out that working inside "properly" is very much the preserve of the uber brave. Not a cloak to mask not liking getting hit in the face.

Repeatedly holding on the inside, he had numerous warnings before Richie Davies quite rightly kicked him out. It was a terrible spectacle, good reffing from Richie Davies IMO
