aye me too, i still half-feel like going, just to support macca and cos the UC will hardly be on tv i don't imagine

but i've got 3 cards I'm attending in march and the purse-strings won't stretch

Granted, I have only seen McDermott fight for just under two rounds, but I liked what I saw from him. Bendall is a decent barometer for McDermott - I think McDermott will stop him late on, and then hopefully get a fight against the Elcock/Macklin winner.

IF macca stops bendall it's impressive. Elcock fought the fight of his life (at that point) to do so

a little birdie whispered to me that Macca has had some problems with southpaws in sparring- he's sparred with Bendall before, I know- I can imagine why, macca's very much jab-first and i could see a leftie messing with that.

my guess is, though, bendall simply doesn't have the firepower to keep macca off or the legs, at 35, to stay away from him. sooner or later macca will get him stationary and start unloading- if maca is '1 and done' i don't think he beats bendall, he'd get slicked out IMO, needs a high-ish tempo to be successful.

dioufy- those 2 rounds were as slick and sharp as macca has ever looked :TU:

He was pretty alright in that first but I still gave it to Elcock - did anyone else?

no, elcock got wobbled a bit that round, macca didn't, not much else went on = for me the most damage that rd was done by macca

i will of course, however, admit that i am a one-eyed yam-yam bias merchant :TU:

I think Bendall UD. (edit- not UD, it's one the ref calls- so points.)

It IS an early one too, second one on the show, followed by Broadhurst.
