I'd find it amazing if there was a boxing fan over the age of 20 who didn't like MAB. Proper warrior and a very decent chap.
I'm probably the least likely bloke you'll ever meet to be star struck - but I think the only time I've ever made sure I shook someone's hand and got a pic was when I saw Barrera.
If you're a boxing fan rather than an England fan (and I'm very much the latter too, usually) I'd expect MAB to be your choice.
Although the lad Khan himself puts certain people off, it's the aspects of the industry he represents which turns the knowledgeable, hardcore fan off.

I am dreading getting sat next to a load of fcking wankers, be they of English Welsh or Pakistani ethnicity.
I know of a lad from my home town who is Asian going down to support Khan, as far as I am aware he has had no interest in boxing or any other sport I think he just wants to see his fellow Asian man kick someone's ass and then bask in it.
If there are any hate spouting "fckin kill 'im Amir kill 'im" etc....who wouldn't know a left hook from a bunch of bananas and who probably never heard of Barrera at least I'll likely only have it to put up with for half an hour as they will probably just rabbit amongst themselves while the preceding fights go on.

I'm going to the fight, and I'm still undecided on who I want to win and will be cheering for.
Common sense says Khan-he's British, and it would be absolutely massive if he wins and likely propel him to a world title shot.
Whereas Barrera is an absolute legend, one of the greats of this era and it is probably the only time he will fight on British soil.

be bit like when Mike Tyson came over to fight Julius Francis, Tyson got massive welcome by Brit fans cos they knew they were watching a ring legend and in Tyson a bit of a cult figure too. They'll be talking about Mike Tyson's power in 50 maybe a hundred years.
with Barrera you know there is hard, and then there is hard, and this man is hard!....I want Khan to win but I will root for Barrera initially as at 35 we don't know what he brings and noone wants to see a Ledge get bombed out the ring in 2 rounds. As Barrera gets into the fight and begins to take control, eventually starting to rock Khan I will then start to root for my countryman to get back in it, but at the same time I will still delight in watching Barrera, a genuine ring legend do his thing, even though I consider myself a fan of Khan.

Well MAB to win this in the latter rounds of the fight by a ko.in round 8-9.

anyone who backs Khan out of some kind of "revenge for Hamed" (and I don't see there being many at all yet it's been mentioned on this thread...) wants their head examining.
Yeah Hamed, terrific abilities but he's a Hall of Fame Numptey if you ask me. Hundred miles an hour in the wrong lane over a blind hill....then runs away.......then comes out of prison (bit too fckin early) singin and dancing with a limo and a shitty entourage. He could have wiped out a family of 6 on going on their holidays or a fcking doctor or a heart surgeon or somebody.
I have absolutely zero respect for the cocky little gobshite. He makes Audley Harrison and Didier Drogba look like fckin heroes in my book.

I think it's over as soon as they both start swinging. I'm going Barrera in 4 and it will be dramatic.

Even Marquez says that MAB to win as he has lots of expereince behind him . even khans friend say that MAB is to win this. what sort disloyal friends does amir have.

Khan will be the crowds favourite. Proper boxing fans may well go for MAB because after all who wants to see MAB beaten by a cocky little coont. I have to confess I am not a Khan fan and I want to see MAB do a Prescott on him. I got a lot of pleasure watching my wifes face when Prescott took Khan out in 54 seconds. Something similar would make us both happy. Khan will be beaten and so will Hatton.

Surely Khan will be the crowd favorite.
Like everyone else here I've always liked Barrera, but I'd like to see Khan win impressively, just because it's good for the game over here. Take away all the SN bull and you're left with a decent lad I think.
A loss for MAB wont mean a helluva lot: he's already been there and done it a few times over, and a loss at the end of a long hard career means nowt.
A bad loss for Khan, and it's over before it even got started.
Strange to think that Barrera is not popular in his home country at all. He's seen as a priviliged type, not the hard core up from the streets warriors that the Mex fans really love.
