Great in 84 too, think they had like 7 gold medalists (including sweet pea , Meldrick, Mark Breland) or something, plus Holyfield winning bronze, Virgil Hill silver, etc

Frank Tate won gold and then went on to become a pro world champ, and he prob wasnt even top 5 on the team

The 84 team was really special. Tyrell Biggs took Gold at Super Heavyweight. Think he beat Lennox Lewis on the way. I think Breland was the star of the team, an amazing amateur.

I remember The Ring magazine doing a comparison to the 76 team and it's like a who's who of boxing stars.
