I think he means that Small looks likely to have lost out on this crack at the British title.
I'm not saying I agree, as such, but it would be unlucky for Small if he didn't get this fight for wahtever reason.
Ryan Rhodes must be better now and ready to be training soon, so the logical thing to do would be to set a date.
This fight's going nowhere. Too much been said and done. The British public want it. It's a natural. Just wants a new date.
I thought Small at first as I recall, but then I switched quite strongly for Rhodes. Now though, given the Coyle performance (which I read about but didn't see) I think Small could be favourite.
The Rhodes that KO'd Woolcombe wins. The Rhodes that was blowing at times against Coyle, loses against Small.

Yeah fair point I wasn't thinking of that one was I. I did watch most of it actually despite my pals wanting to move on to the next pub.
But that doesn't really change what I'm saying......Rhodes was excellent against Gary Woolcombe then seemed to tire in the Coyle fight I heard. Maybe I'm doing Coyle a disservice I don't know, certainly not my intention. Then Rhodes seemed to pace himself perfectly against, I have to say, quite a disappointing Vuma (I'm I am going off his fireworks with Mark Thompson).
I'm not saying he
can't box to recent high standards, I just think he might have to to win this fight. Cos if it comes off, and I think it will, Small will turn u in good nick and despite his antics he can actually stay a bit and fight a bit.
Go on, hit me with his Pryce fight now...it's just my opinion.

i think small is too sloppy and soon as he gets pressured his game plan goes out of the window. I think Ryan ko's him. A more even and exciting fight would be Rhodes vs Moore. Some good fights out there.

Yeah, lets just hope they stick!
Rhodes could really move up in class soon, I'd say he just needs a convincing win over a good domestic opponent.

Normally I love the banter that goes on - I have always stated it generates interest in a fight and gets people interested etc etc - I am one fan who likes the hype that goes on in the sport.
However - in my opinion the way Small was concerning Rhodes showed for me what a complete lack of respect Small has for what is acceptable in boxing and I feel the boundaries are quite wide - I feel Small stepped outside those boundaries !!!
I've not seen any comments from Small since the postponment - what did he say ? Has anyone got a link ?
Thanks
