BoxBuzz, do you think the majority of the men on this list can be put into the tournament? I dont know if the software has that broad of a database or not.

Hank, I made reference to O'Brien as a title-claimant in all seriousness. Jeffries was the first heavyweight champion to retire - and actually mean it - in many years, and the first Queensberry champion so to do. Nobody in 1905/1906 was really certain who had a valid claim to the title. O'Brien's claim was as good as anybody else's. That's why Burns was so anxious to fight O'Brien after Burns defeated Hart.

I know you were being serious, I added him to the list of title claimers last night.

What we need to do is make sure all the men on there are even available to be put into sims, and then after that, we need to break the men up into groups and start picking the matches.

they are in my simulator...

If you are serious about doing the series, Kym, I commend you.

I guess we just need to get started on breaking the fighters into groups now. And Group A will fight against guys from Group B, and Group C will fight with Group D, etc.

The 'experts' must design their list of groups.

Must also add, I hope we can out do both the NCR-315 predictions and Tracy Callis' own predictions on the ATG HW's. I think Tracy Callis' computer tournament ended up with having Joe Louis, Jim Jeffries, Jack Dempsey, and Jack Johnson as the top four of all time, while Woroner's list had Rocky Marciano, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis and Jim Jeffries as its top four.

That or instead of breaking them into groups, why not have the best of each category face off with eachother, and break each category down. The best 'colored' champs against the best 'white hope' champs, etc.

Suggestions, comments? I think maybe we should start with an 'Alphabet HW' sim tournament first, and then match the ultimate winner of that against the ultimate winner of the 'HW Title Claimer' tournament. Then we can do the lineal champion tournament. The winner of that, can face off against the winner of the 'Alphabet/Claimer' match.

I did, but I dont want this to drag out much longer than it needs to be.

I guess whoever wants to be nominated for the position, place your name on the thread and make your groups.

sweet pic! a new rule for the tourney is that all fighters must fight in the trunks like corbett has on. this will put the modern fighters at a disadvantage. i imagine those shorts give you serious assbite.
