I was under the impression that was to do with the legal stuff?
And I have never had to separately log in to British Forum, why do other people have to?

aint even about that. Nationality is a top-down, imposed state. Yeah I live in england/the uk, live by its laws because i recognise that without laws you have anarchy (the bad kind at the minute) but I dont regard it as something that is intrinsically right or needed in its current form?
