Pace has slowed right down. Both fighters looking average.

6-4 to the Trinidadian. The younger, Cameroonian, looks to be fresher. Could be an interesting last.

Your fighters have looked shit hot.
Was O'Kane using the left hook to the head much?

Its a shot Ogogo will have to look out for.

I'll stick with Barnes and McCarthy for gold.
Been a great games for your boys Slap' do you fancy McCarthy to beat Johnson, I was kind of strong the other way, have they fought before do you know?

he (Ogogo) wasn't jumping in against the Nigerian yesterday- very cool and collected, just taking the half-step back then snapping counter right hands over the top, mostly boxing clever off the back foot.

Not sure if they fought before, I'll ask Tommy tonight. I haven't really seen much of Johnson before these Games and I understand that Allegedly tried to get the guy to turn over before and he looks good (although I've not seen todays fights) but Tommy is young and hungry and more than held his own against Kenny Egan in the seniors final and is the type of guy that can raise his game to the level of the opposition if you know what I mean.

I just had a strong feeling that Little Red and Tommy would get into the finals and have a good shout with a gold. I didn't expect the others. Paddy Gal getting to the final is a shock as is Wardy. O'Kane is really determined and although "old" has progressed since getting on the High Performance team but seems like he would be more suited to the pros - I hope Barry McGuigan signs him up after this.

kind of think that about Tommy as well he looks as if there is more in the tank, Johnson was very impressive today but the welsh kid lost heart with the body shots that wont happen with McCarthy be interesting to know what Tommy thinks about the fight, wish him luck though, all the guys deserve it.

Ward looked a class above. Not sure how he'll fair against Vailly because I haven't managed to watch the Englishman yet.
I seen most of the English boxers before this tournament, but never seen Vailly till these games...ive been impressed with him so far&he looks a good medal prospect for 2012 :TU:
And a cracking pro prospect to boot!

Ogogo's victory has been challenged by the indians and they are going to a tribunal to decide if its overturned

What a load of cobblers, they deny him about 6 points and then pull this crap, the indian corner were very unsporting afterwards as well.

Surely they cannot over-rule the ref now. :shame:

Was he comfortably in front against the Nigerian?

He was jumping in fair bit today. Maybe it was desperation because he was behind, but I wouldn't want to see him doing it against the NI lad in the final.

 I think the Indians kicked up such a fuss because Vijender Singh is practically India's poster boy for boxing. I'm yet to see the fight but it was a great win for Agogo. Wasn't Vijender the no.1 ranked boxer at the weight? Great to see the British lads doing so well. Hopefully most of the squad stick around for London 2012! On a side note, it's nice to India having so many accomplished boxers too. A few years back, boxing was practically non-existent in India.

Remember, the Olympics is a world away in terms of quality from the Commonwealths.

Some quality operators out in India at the moment though. The boxing programmes implemented on both sides of the Irish Sea seem to be paying huge dividends. :TU:

C&P from Boxing-Ireland.com

First up - 'Little Red' Paddy Barnes v Jafet Uutoni of Namibia at 10.30am Irish time. Barnes has already beaten the best in the tournament and should take gold.

Then one of the stars of the Games, Paddy Gallagher takes on England's Callum Smith in the welterweight final at 11.45am. Smith is one famous boxing brothers from Liverpool, including Paul, Liam and Stephen, and has coasted through the tournament and the Belfast man will be a heavy underdog - never seemed to mind that before!

Then we have the fight of the day, Tommy McCarthy v Scotland's Callum Johnson at12.15pm Irish time. Prepare for fireworks!

English poster boy Anthony Ogogo take on Eamonn O'Kane at 3.15pm in another highly anticipated contest.

Finally, its Big Steven Ward against Simon Vallily at 3.45pm. Vallily has been destructive throughout the Games, smashing his way to the final and will be favourite again in this contest, but Ward has beaten those odds already this week and will relish the challenge.

What odds on FIVE golds? Dont count against it. Come on!

15 british boxers out of 20 in the finals, plenty of interest for all the home nations today.

Don't fancy Ward or Gallagher in the finals to be honest - Vaillay looks like he hits too hard for my money and Smith is a bad match up style-wise.

McCarthy v Johnson could be a hell of a fight, can't call it either way in truth.

Also really looking forward to Stalker v the Scotsman (his name escapes me) at lightweight. Could be a barn burner that one..

Wish I was off work to enjoy all these fights live!
