Nope. Any Doctor with half a brain will tell you that if blood is going directly into a fighter's eye, then that is good enough reason to stop a fight, in order to mantain the fighter's safety.

I'm not a massive Khan fan if I'm being honest. I just think it was the right decision.

Now, I am a big Fury fan and will stand by my prediction that's he's going all the way. I might be wrong mate, I have been before, ask my ex-wife! :P

Not surprised Khan got patronising, why isn't he allowed to stick up for himself? McCloskey's team were appalling in the post-fight press conference, especially his manager and the Hearns who kept shouting over Khan, De La Hoya and Freddie Roach. Kept demanding a rematch - but it was a voluntary defence and they've got no chance.

Possibly true, but I find the terrible, hysterical, level of blind hate aimed towards him on here makes me feel defensive towards him.
Face facts, every word he says gets torn apart, his accent, his style, his fans. If he boxes in Britain, it's because he wants an easy fight, if he boxes in America it's because he is running away.
If Sky put him on Box Office, somehow Sky are the good guys and Khan is some sort of thief. Some moron on here accused him of "raping" the country.

I cheered on Amir in his last fight but his team attitude has been very poor for this last fight. I dont think Amir is a ppv star like he thinks he is. David Haye is the only British fighter who currently is because he has charisma and sells a fight Khan does not. Khan may not be liked by some for non boxing reasons but your never change those sorts of opinions as most of those people are too stupid. But Amir management have not done the best for there fighter in last few weeks.

Amir's team show what a good job promoters do, although it is worth noting that the place was banged out tonight and there were more Khan fans than McCloskey fans.
Problem is in this era, everyone thinks they can be a promoter. Khan Promotions, if they want to have a real future, need to bring in some outsiders that actually know what they are doing. Biggest lesson of this week is that next time he boxes in Britain, he should think about giving Mr Warren a call. He would have put the Hearns in their place!

I like Paul, he's a good fighter but he isn't in the same class as Kahn.
Kahn was good enough to give McCloskey the title shot (when others were mentioned like Peterson and Mabuza)...

This was Paul's chance to prove how good he is and become a World Champion. But he just couldn't make the step up and was beaten handily just as I predicted.

McCloskey didn't even tie a single round against the WBA Champ. He does not deserve a rematch, simply because this was not a close fight

If McCloskey wants another big money fight, maybe he could go to the US and fight Morales...
Both men are coming off loses, this fight could happen...

He might have done better in the later rounds, but we don't know because the fight was stopped prematurely.

I don't think there should be a rematch. I just think it is a bit unfair to say McCloskey wasn't good enough, when the fight was stopped in unusual circumstances before the end of the sixth round.
