What's so bizarre about that? In the Southwestern United States probably more than half the population speaks Spanish and English. Just because you're limited doesn't mean everyone else has to be.

He's from England. He's not "limited." He obviously isn't that familiar with the U.S. Big deal.

10-9 Karass
9-10 Berto
9-10 Berto
10-9 Karass
10-9 Karass
10-9 Karass
9-10 Berto
10-9 Karass
10-9 Karass
10-9 Karass
8-10 Berto

105-103 Karass going into the 12th.

I think that Berto is correct that he deserved an 8 count, and a chance to finish the fight. Berto is certainly proven to be limited but He is a warrior.

Soto Karass vs Thurman or Guerrero would be nice.

What a great card. Thurman proved a couple of things this evening. #1. He can adjust. #2. He has a solid chin.

Figueroa is a warrior but I have not been especially impressed yet. Too hittable.

Yawn.... What I meant was they'll say half a sentence in one language and half in another! Why not just give the instructions in one?!

It's just that they speak two languages and use them interchangeably. I don't know of another reason.

I thought the stoppage was weird and premature, but I can live with it.
I think the referee was so quick to stop it when Berto went down because he knew he had been fighting all that time with one arm and must've felt the danger would've been more severe if he were wounded with one arm. I'm not saying it was necessarily the right call, but I think that was the motivation for it.

Same score and I thought the ref should've let him continue, though I don't think he had much left.

Yeah, I feel pretty much the same about it.
Me too, though AFAIK they didn't talk to the ref. Maybe he thought the shot damaged him too badly. Regardless, Berto wasn't going to stop him and SK would've prevailed anyway.
