Lol I havent stuck the boot into Brook for losing though cos it hasnt happened. Also im not personally involved in Frankie Gavin's camp.

Good post. People make a lot of excuses for him it seems too. For some reason this guy always had a very overly-optimistic fanbase.
I think the optimism to be fair came from Frankies amazing amateur career and there was no reason this could not translate into pro success-as a template (and also a brummie) Pat Cowdell who had a similar skillful, light punching style went to give the legendary Salvador Sanchez one of his hardest fights so there was no reason to think that Gavin could not go onto at least challenge for a world title.
You just think that when someone with his ability turns over his promotional team would analyse his lifestyle, his diet, his training, see what adjustments he needed to make-there is so much science in sports now, but it seems to pass many boxers by and it is amazing when you think of the sums of money involved.

I obviously got the scoring completely wrong given the judges decision and the TV commentators . I had it 117-110 Bundu.

I though that Frankie had the first 4 rounds and then Bundu won until the 10th, Frankie got last 2. It was a good scrap but Bundu won.

It's got to be a first. A fighter who has fought for Italy most of his career wins commonwealth title. A bit of a joke if you ask me.

It'll be interesting to see if Frank does indeed bankroll a rematch, from the on-air comments, it seems Frank may need to cough up considerably more than last time. He paid just under ninety thousand quid (110 thousand euro's), and if my memory is correct the split is 60/40 to champion / challenger. So Bundu got fifty odd grand for Friday's bout, and next time "wants paying". Dig deep, Frank

Gavin can and will be back ! He showed unquestionable heart and desire in there Friday and would of learned a lot from this, his still going all the way IMO, this has just held him up 6-12 months. He has to use his skills more and at the right times. Come on Frankie !!

I see things similarly, there's still other issues to be sorted with Frankie, thankfully all of them either in the ring or with his training, but even in defeat, he answered a lot of questions on Friday.

Agreed. But he'll be all the better for this when he does go all the way.
Also agree he needs to be back in the ring quickly. Take a warm up fight or whatever... Just stay active.
