It's obviously difficult to say from the outside, but I'd be surprised if Smith had any real decision-making power. I suspect it's all done between Francis & Hearn.

The casuals lap up the big names. We are a tiny minority. He's in the ratings business after all.

I guess its good to see a big name, but a big name knocking over an overweight Argentinian. Surely there comes a time when even they get fed up of that shit.

I'm not interested in knocking individuals (just a personal thing, others welcome to their opinion) but I think BocksNation's good, even if for me a lot of it is Sky+ jobbie as staying up till 4am for US fights is a bit much. In an ideal world I would like to see more UK domestic nights on their channel, in fact I first started subscribing for the Fury/Chisora and Saunders/Eubank night, though I probably should have got it before then.
Across both Sky and BNtion I think the amount of professionalism / entertainment is superb. I set Sky+ for Ringside every week and love watching that show.

I love that Bocksnation doesn't interrupt fights with ad breaks.

The only feedback of boxing on TV in general is for there to be a smidgeon more objectivity and bit less partisanship in boxing coverage. Perhaps get an "Ian Wright" type personality "heart on sleeve cheer leader for the local boys" pundit, but I like to see boxing matches analysed without rose tinted glasses for the home fighters. That's just me and will probably never happen!

But all said and done, I think we are a bit spoiled at the moment, and Im a happy customer of Sky Sports and BocksNation.

allegedly pisses all over Sky at the moment. Boxing has become like a toy sport on Sky, just 'big names' with knockover jobs and a load of hype. It's offensive to anyone but total casuals, may as well watch wrestling for some of the crap they serve up.

allegedly has come on in leaps and bounds and is pretty good value for £10 a month, they also still show some half decent British matchups, just recently the Buglioni-Markham fight was a little British cracker that Sky just don't seem to bother with anymore.

The only thing allegedly need is to have a full HD offering to Virgin Media customers, there are enough of us surely to warrant it?

and Friday 24th July has Buglioni v Markham 2
