Yep really enjoyed that: top class boxing from both men.
Dunno why but in my head I read that post in Jim Watt's voice
Why don't you take away all the rounds Linares won while you're at it.
crusader wrote:I think that's a little harsh with regards to your comment about KM coming up short. Take that vile injury away and he was still in the fight.heisenberg wrote:
Yeah, I love that kind of thought process when someone favours one fighter over another.

Did Mitchells corner miss a trick there by not getting the doc to have a good check of the eye at the end of the 9th, might of gone to the scorecards
Re: O2 RBR May 30th
I think so. I'm surprised the ref didn't refer to the doctor at any point really, it was a bad injury.Old bones Ian wrote:Did Mitchells corner miss a trick there by not getting the doc to have a good check of the eye at the end of the 9th, might of gone to the scorecards

I dunno why I find really effeminate ring entrance (yeah go on) music really amusing.

If Johnson wins does he become the new future people's champion?

I wasn't trying to suggest that you agreed with him. I was just saying.Counter-puncher wrote:That's why I said that.

Re: O2 RBR May 30th
No, if he wins he goes from being Kevin Johnson to being Tony Thompson. You can only move one rung at a time.ShadrachSimmo wrote:If Johnson wins does he become the new future people's champion?

Was it an accidental clash of heads then that caused the cut?Old bones Ian wrote:Did Mitchells corner miss a trick there by not getting the doc to have a good check of the eye at the end of the 9th, might of gone to the scorecards

The horrendous one that could have caused a halt between one of the rounds (in my opinion,) yes, I'm pretty sure it was.lillywhite14 wrote:Was it an accidental clash of heads then that caused the cut?Old bones Ian wrote:Did Mitchells corner miss a trick there by not getting the doc to have a good check of the eye at the end of the 9th, might of gone to the scorecards

Can someone PM me a good link please
Re: O2 RBR May 30th
Was good to see Mitchell walk out with his head held high, rightly so. Feel sorry for him, he gave everything, but the last rounds were shaping up to be brutal. He fought well, I thought it was very close but the momentum was quickly swinging away from him. Shame, real shame.
Re: O2 RBR May 30th
One over the left eye was a clash of heads, but the cuts over the right eye and on the bridge of the nose were from punches, as was the huge swell on the left side of his face.lillywhite14 wrote:Was it an accidental clash of heads then that caused the cut?Old bones Ian wrote:Did Mitchells corner miss a trick there by not getting the doc to have a good check of the eye at the end of the 9th, might of gone to the scorecards
