Good shout, would be unwise though, i reckon Fury would just stick it on him if he started that nonsense. Gypsies love a street fight, Briggs new Klit was never going to strike him, Fury not so.
Would be a hilarious build up though!

Well done to Tyson Fury. Wladimir just didn't know how to handle him. Fully deserved win.

Cant see it myself, he was useless tonight. I'm sure Fury could have stopped him if he really went for it. Cant see how a rematch would be much different.
Wasn't really listening to the Sky waffle...but it sounded like there wasnt one.
Lewis asked Klit in the post fight interview in the ring, Wlad said there was a rematch clause.

I watched it on Polsat Sport.

Makes sense, sounded odd to me that K wouldnt have had one in there. Depends on whether the reason Wlad couldnt pull the trigger was that he was a bit bamboozled by the tactics (which he can recover from) or whether he's got old and the timing has just gone. He looked ragged as hell near the end too.

It's a public vote so he probably won't get it but he deserves it. Best win by a British fighter for at least a decade and I can't think of a more charismatic sportsman in the country.

Never have I been so happy to lose money than this. I honestly thought I was going insane the last ten years confronted with all the 'new improved wlad' bullshit. Wlad is not, and never has been, an ATg heavyweight.

Can anyone seriously tell me this wlad was any different to the bumbling embarrassment that fought sultan ibragimov? Of course not. The man just falls apart under pressure and has fooled so many people in a horrible horrible era for heavyweights.

I'll second that, and props to all those who picked him to win.

If there happened to be a rematch over here that would be interesting. I honestly can't remember Wlad ever being the 'away' fighter.

That's how Froch said he scored the round with the point deduction, although he did sound very confused.

The reality was that wlad cheated all the time by leaning all over his smaller opponents. He stepped in the ring with someone his own size and got whipped. It was a great fight from fury he looks clumsy but is really skilled.

The moment that defined the whole fight for me was when fury missed with a big right, wlad cocked his hands ready to land the one two, but fury turned the punch straight into a right jab and threw it back straight into wlads mouth!

Took all these years for a fighter to come along and show how limited Wlad really is. Well donee Tyson Fury.

The thing is, it was never really about size. That's a red herring that people have been fooled by since the start of the 'new improved wlad' era. It was however about pressure. That has always been Wlads kryptonite. A guy who could take his shots and dish out his own, and keep the pressure on. Hell, that bum Sam Peter nearly did wlad, and he wasn't big apart from the blubber. He wasn't even a notable pressure guy, just a plodding oaf with a bit of dig. That should have given all the clues people needed, but everyone was just blinded by that reign of terror over a long line of bums who had no capability of putting it on wlad for sustained periods.

You call what fury did last night 'putting the pressure on'?

You have a strange way of defining pressure, from a dude who spent most of the night on the back foot.

30 punches a round is putting the pressure on?

Suggest maybe you watch some Joe Frazier fights, Riddick?

The size did help fury to land, clearly. But I'm referring to wlads career in general. If people ever criticised wlad it would be all 'oh these guys are just too small for him' when it should have been 'these guys can't put it on him'. Size is a factor in that, but it wouldn't have needed a great smaller heavyweight like mike Tyson to stop wlad. Sam Peter wasn't a big guy. He was just a plodder. And he almost beat wlad. Lamon Brewster wasn't big, or particularly good. He just threw a lot of shots and marched forward.

Fury didn't bring pressure per se but he did enough to bust wlad up and make him uncomfortable, and when that happens wlad has no plan b.

Riddick: 'beating wlad is all about putting pressure on'

Fighter beats wlad without applying pressure but by boxing off the back foot

Riddick: 'see, I was right all along'

Kudos mate.

I was always interested in seeing Wlad fight someone as big or larger than him, used to want to see him fight Valuev, Valuev wasnt the fighter to do what Fury did to him but he's had natural advantages over everyone for years it would have been interesting seeing him fight someone who he couldn't dominate with his longer jab.

So a guy comes along who is capable of outboxing wlad and suddenly just because he beats him that way wlad is no longer vulnerable to pressure because that's, like not exactly how he lost last night.

Ok, comic book guy.

The pressure Wlad was under was psychological; he is a box by numbers type and if a boxer jabbed at him he'd counter with a stronger jab and a right hand, if they came in close he'd claim and push down on his head. Wlad did not want to risk missing a punch by more than a foot, being off balance or looking foolish; he ended up just following Fury around, he couldn't time Fury or set traps because Tyson was making it up as he went along. Wlad looked sorry for himself when he was slightly cut, as others have said he was used to having his own way. I hope there's no rematch, Wlad can retire very rich and the heavyweight division will be better now, certainly more interesting.
