Joshua will never be unbeatable.

Because British title level is dangerous anyway.

A loss in a world title fight is less damaging than a loss in a British title fight.

Whether or not Joshua is a legend in the making is certainly up for debate, but he looks solid thus far. I think he has the tools to beat Charles Martin who is no more accomplished as a Professional than Joshua is, and Joshua has looked far more impressive to me in his fights.

How far Joshua goes is mostly gonna rely on how well he can take a shot or how good his defense is, and we won't have an answer to that until he fights better opposition. Considering that Wilder has taken 3 (learning on the job) title defenses since winning his belt I figure Joshua would be able to do the same as well, and since their last Mandatory #1 ranked guy was Glazkov I doubt he'll have much to worry about with that either.

Don't underestimate AJ. He proved he was the best amateur heavy in the world, which takes some doing, but he isn't at World level as a pro yet.

Joshua arguably lost twice at the Olympics. He was world class, but certainly not unbeatable.

Joshua looks very likely to be able to become a world class professional, but I very much doubt that he'll ever be close to unbeatable.

Time will tell whether my confidence in AJ is justified but I think they are making a mistake more likely to make your opinion of him seem justified.

He's already proved he can take a shot against whyte. Some will say he reacted badly to that shot, but while he was rocked momentarily he recovered well and stopped the guy brutally a few rounds later.

Yeah he did get shook a little, but yes indeed he showed good recovery which is crucial.

i wouldln't say if it was a good recovery, if he was in there with a far more vicious opponent who would capitalize on what he saw, and didn't have a gammy shoulder and was a bit fitter. i even think a fully 100% more disciplined whyte with a bit more killer instinst could stop joshua in a return fight.

Agree. Was talking to my mate yesterday and he was asking about AJ v Haye. He reckons AJ will demolish him. But I said if Haye caught him the way Whyte did then he wouldn't let him off the hook. He'd be all over him. Could be a case of who lands first. Haye is a lot more awkward, powerful and mobile than Whyte.

 :TU: nice to see someone who shares the same opinion as mine. and i am no fan of haye at all, not even in the slightest, but david haye would butcher anthony joshua. he would demolish him :box: :KO: . but yeah, all this "aj recovered well" lark is nonsense to me, whyte just didn't/couldln't capitalize on what he done, i like whyte though and as mentioned, fully fit and a bit less crude and more disciplined i think he gets joshua out of there.

he wasn't right for a few rounds after that shot and with a fighter as you say who won't let you off the hook you are going to end up flat on your back and taking a loss

I think he had surgery after the fight didn't he? Whyte is a good fighter but he is all the fighter he is ever going to be IMO. I'm not sure who would win out of AJ and Haye tbh. As I said before it could be a case of who lands first. AJ won't have come up against anyone like Haye in the ams or in sparring so I would slightly favour Haye but you're only as good as your last fight so opinions could and probably will change after their next bouts.

yes he did. you could be right there, i'll feel i'll fully agree with you if he doesn't show me some more in his next few fights. i'm definitely going with haye, i feel he would give joshua who is ultimately stiff and robotic all sorts of problems and would win. yep your right there with being only as good as your last fight :TU:

If AJ lands square on Haye its game over. If Haye catches AJ then he will be all over him. Hopefully they both win next and we'll get to see for real. Big fight and a good earner for them both. Personally I would keep AJ well clear just now if I was in his team. Haye is a potential banana skin.

yeah AJ can put hayes lights out for sure, but i feel as AJ is rather robotic and stiff haye will be able to exploit this and be all over him.

yeah thats how i'd play it aswell for now :TU:

I hope Martin wins. After all the hype and the AJ fake media smiles and responses, getting off a drug charge due to AIBA intervention, losing 2 fights in the Olympics, and definitive PED usage, not to me to mention I'd like to see Eddie Hearn's idiot red face when he loses his retirement money....I'd like to see AJ ironed out

Not very patriotic. I also think he lost they two fights in the Olympics. Was a bit embarrassing. Hearn is a glitter sacks playboy who loves the attention. He'll be in the papers for a while yet!

Patriotic? Surely left wingers would argue that's another form or racism and discrimination?  Regardless, boxing is an individual sport so is less linked to passport owner. Eg did / would you definitively support Alan Minter vs Hagler, despite his comments? What about Zola Budd, who controversially represented UK despite being clearly South African?

The whole point is that AJ and his groupie Eddie Hearn wind me up and are both as fake as a marmite sun tan...so, for personality and hype reasons, as well as the commercial rip off angle. Martin seems like a cool guy, easy going. So I will be supporting him. Also the title is a joke anyway, Tyson Fury is the only world heavyweight champ

Nice comment :TU: Do you dislike AJ because of his popularity or because he is with Hearn or a bit of both? I quite like the guy but I dislike Hearn more n more recently. AJ seems an alright kinda guy when you see him on TV. Martin seems alright also but he has the potential to be a massive bell end!

My three most hated boxers are Santa Cruz, Fvck Alvarez, and Joshua.

Given that Joshua doesn't have the downside of being a weightdrainy yellowbreasted cowardly ratfuck, is a pretty stark statement of what a pudendum I think he is....

I can't go that dick splash Broner or Danny Garcia. Bellew gets on my nipple ends from time to time though sometimes I find myself liking him again briefly.
