He didn't even compensate by throwing many good lefts apart from some nice jabs here and there, Catterall came over with some nice left hands but he was poor too, neither guy wins against a solid European level fighter IMO, what were they thinking in there tonight? that was woeful
It is not possible to score a bout 108-108. If you mean that all rounds were even (because they were shite) then the bout would end 120-120.

I think we're all implying that both guys didnae' do enough to win a single round !
As someone said - the fairest result would have been 0-0
Those two should be made to watch Woodstock vs Sharp.

Flashy boxing from Sharp but He's so open and upright he looks an accident waiting to happen .
Good value for the win tho and at least a bit of entertainment for the crowd after the shambles of the main event .

Going to watch the Shapr Woodstock fight later as I went to bed to get up and watch UFC . What I saw before it last night was poor, except Sam Bowen.

I like Dempsey a lot,he always asks the tough questions and doesn't kiss arse.

Poor that sky got rid of him but their boxing team is diabolical.

Just seen that this was Catterall’s 9th defence of the WBO belt that he has. Bloody hell. If he’s not #1 ranked then who is? Feels like he been fighting for ages!!

Remember Hatton made several defences of that WBU belt lol. Few memorable defences to be fair but he had that strap a long time man...

Not trying to be sarcastic at all. Just pointing out a technicality that's all. I get the posters meaning though in retrospect.

A little question for you on a similar line. British rules. You win the round but get a point deducted for a low blow. How does the referee score the round?

In a 10 point must system, would it be 10-10 I guess. I prefer 9-9

Exactly. A ten point must system. 10-10. You'd be surprised how many people get that wrong.

I concur. It was a dreadful contest. Watched it in the pub with some non-boxing mates and told them it should be a good honest 50/50 matchup. Most of them cleared off after about five rounds.

Has Catterall ever been in a decent fight ? His bouts seem wall to wall snoozefests...I fast forwarded through that and will be glad to never see one of his fights again
