Scoop Malinowski: No. He will never be allowed to beat Canelo. The big money has been invested in Canelo. Golovkin has been paid well for the Canelo fights. I don’t think he will ever reveal any secrets. Floyd Mayweather probably said the ugly truth in one interview when he was under extreme pressure to fight Pacquiao in 2010. Floyd was very depressed about all the pressure and actually said to the interviewer, “I don’t love boxing like I used to because boxing isn’t real anymore.” Yes Floyd actually said it, I saw the video. It’s easy to interpret those words. The sad truth is that Gennady Golovkin is one of the greatest champions in ring history. He made four future hall of famers run away from fighting him. I rate Golovkin as one of the best fighters I ever saw, same level as Ali, Leonard, Pacquiao, Calzaghe, Klitschkos, Lennox Lewis. It was an honor and privilege to witness the best years of his career.

Odds continue to plummet this morning.
100-1 early this week. 50-1 yesterday. Now just 33-1.
Will Rolls actually be the betting choice by fight time?
It's always suspicious when late odds change radically, but if GGG loses, to use an old fashioned phrase, I'll eat my hat!

A major upset last week. And nobody bets on a 100-1 favorite, so the odds have nowhere to go but down.
But if Rolls pulls it off, Fury may want to considering pulling out of next week's bout.
They say things happen in threes.

One needs to be stupid to think that Rolls can win that fight other than via a DQ. Golovkin would beat him just using his left arm.

Purses for the GGG-Rolls card:
Gennady Golovkin's purse is listed as a laughable $2 million. He's getting closer to $15 million. Steve Rolls $300k,
Ali Akhmedov $25k, Marcus McDaniel $45,250, Charles Conwell $15k, Courtney Pennington $13,500, Brian Ceballo $25k, Bakhtiyar Eyubov $8k, Israil Madimov $48k, Norberto Gonzalez $15k, Nikita Ababiy $8k, Juan Francisco Barajas $3,500.

Nikita Ababiy blasted Juan Francisco Barajas to the body Saturday night.
All it took was one vicious left hook from the hard-hitting Ababiy to send his previously unbeaten opponent to the canvas just 29 seconds into their scheduled four-round super middleweight match at Madison Square Garden. That temporarily paralyzing punch left Barajas rolling around, writhing in pain.
Barajas attempted to get up once referee Shawn Clark’s count reached eight, but he quickly went back down to his knees. Clark promptly stopped their fight 41 seconds into the first round on the Gennadiy Golovkin-Steve Rolls undercard.

The first fight on the card was canceled because Jordan Morales (3-7, 2 KOs), of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, did not meet the New York State Athletic Commission’s requirements for licensure.
The opponent Morales was scheduled to fight, Johnathan Arroyo, entered the ring anyway Saturday night to address his fans that bought tickets to watch him fight. The 32-year-old Arroyo (3-0-1, 1 KOs) is from Brentwood, New York, on Long Island.

My Interview with Sports.KZ about Golovkin
Scoop Malinowski
Two weeks before Gennady Golovkin fights Steve Rolls at Madison Square Garden, Sports.KZ editor Alexdr Strelnikov wanted to do an interview about my thoughts on the saga of the end of GGG’s illustrious and misunderstood career…
Sports.KZ: What do you think: what is happening in the GGG career lately, fits into the framework of the opinion that Golovkin accepted boxing rules as a business and follows Mayweather’s path?
Scoop Malinowski: I believe Golovkin is one of the greatest fighters in history but has been cheated by the American establishment which prioritizes North American fighters over Eastern European. Remember, the big American TV networks refused to televise several of the Klitschko titles fights – this showed their bias against great East European champions. Golovkin was denied his greatest performances in his prime which would have been wins over Canelo, Sergio Martinez, Miguel Cotto and Mayweather at 154. We never got to see those performances because these four future Hall of Famers knew they could not beat prime Golovkin. Now Golovkin is at the end and he has to make as much money as he can. The American boxing establishment cheated Golovkin and froze him out of the biggest fights until they robbed him twice against Canelo.
Sports.KZ: Is it possible to expect big surprises from GGG in the near future, in your opinion?
Scoop Malinowski: No. He will never be allowed to beat Canelo. The big money has been invested in Canelo. Golovkin has been paid well for the Canelo fights. I don’t think he will ever reveal any secrets.
Floyd Mayweather probably said the ugly truth in one interview when he was under extreme pressure to fight Pacquiao in 2010. Floyd was very depressed about all the pressure and actually said to the interviewer, “I don’t love boxing like I used to because boxing isn’t real anymore.” Yes Floyd actually said it, I saw the video. Good interview over at spam.com.
Well worth a read for those that needed things spelling out.

Charles Conwell went 10 rounds for the first time in his career Saturday night to take the next step in his development.
The 21-year-old junior middleweight prospect pressured Courtney Pennington throughout their bout, consistently landed to Pennington’s body and pounded out a unanimous-decision victory at Madison Square Garden. Judges Mark Consentino (97-92), Ken Ezzo (97-92) and Alan Rubinstein (96-93) scored their fight for Cleveland’s Conwell on the Gennadiy Golovkin-Steve Rolls undercard.
Conwell, a 2016 U.S. Olympian, improved to 10-0. Brooklyn’s Pennington (12-4-3, 5 KOs) has not lost by knockout since the 32-year-old veteran turned pro in August 2012.

Try to post ring0bserver.com (with "o" instead of "0") and you will see spam.com. Ridiculous.

Max Golovkin was a corner trainer for Akhmedov. Told him "Don't wait for the opponent, do your thing. Let him complain" and KO followed.
