Juts woke up to this and it's what i was hoping for recently,it's just another example of letting the big fights fall through due to over inflated egos, lets see him try and demand the lions share now

I wasn't comparing AJ with Tyson - I was just sensing a big shock in the heavyweight division.

Not much, but this is Tyson v Buster Douglas stuff - AJ is going to get flattened one day...its only a case of when....

At these odds a few quid on Ruiz is a shot to nothing for sweet payoff if the unthinkable happens.
Seems I was right and my bet paid out very nicely indeed :TU:

OMG!

Can we please dispel this myth that boxing is not a body beautiful contest?

Here is yet another fanboy who doesn't understand that boxing is about more than physical appearance. Although it's not very seemly that the day after the fight you're acting as though you didn't write Ruiz off totally yourself and you were some kind of seer who always knew Joshua was vulnerable.

Lol.

I reckon, though, that we’ll see stories of a troubled camp for AJ emerge over the next few days, perhaps an illness picked up towards the end but he didn’t want to disappoint the fans etc, etc...
Defo. Theres a rematch to sell. Bottom line is he got skelpted and had no answers to andy ruiz jr.

Theyll no be back in usa for a while!

One guy is a fighter, the other isn't. And he was also fast enough to neutralise Joshua's physical advantages which his previous opponents haven't been. Its always been boxing by numbers with Joshua, he's not a natural fighter.

The real shock is how easy it was in the end. Joshua was absolutely clueless in there once the fight turned against him. Embarrassingly so. The bubble was well and truly burst.

I revised my opinion last night on the forum having rewatched Parker/Ruiz. Try to keep up!

overhand_right wrote: 01 Jun 2019, 16:21 Just rewatching Parker/Ruiz. Ruiz is much better schooled than I remembered. He also throws nice, surprisingly fast combinations, with some clout! I don't think it's in Ruiz's nature to show up to lose. On reflection I wouldn't be surprised if he makes some interesting things happen tonight.

Does Joshua take a punch as well as Parker? Ruiz did seem to ring his bell a couple of times.

The worrying thing for the AJ fans, there wasnt even any really heavy punches that dropped him. Seemals if you actually throw a few punches at him he will fold. Questions about his heart aswell he basically quit

That’s the most shocking thing. I find it hard to describe Joshua as someone who isn’t a fighter given his past but he looked exactly that last night, manufactured.

An accuracy was poor for a AJ fight.

4 out of 30 is pretty telling as is 5 out of 22.... But then again.... Ruiz wasn't any easy target to hit and wasn't giving him much room to breathe.

I cannot say that I would have watched it live at 4am. Of course, I would still be kicking myself if I hadn’t.

What a rush that fight was.
