Smith's performance was far from being stellar and much worse, than it had been expected, but he edged it a bit. He started good, but Ryder appeared to be enough tough to keep coming. In was competetive since the mid-rounds. I scored the bout 115-113 for Smith.

I can understand Smith winning by a round but not by 117-112. Smith didn't win one round big but Ryder had him but out in the 11th so it would be interesting to see how anyone can judge that by 117-112

Only just caught up on this one. Bullsh!t scores but totally predictable. Smith looked extremely poor, Canelo would smash him up.

On that video Tesco doesn’t look like the happy coach if a boxer who has just successfully defended his world title

I had Smith the winner by as narrow as you can get.

Few things,

I’ve never thought to myself that Smith looks gaunt when weighing in but by Christ did I think he looked gaunt at this weight in. I’d imagine it will be 2 more fights at this weight at the very most. My guess is that the plan is Saunders and then Canelo

As well as that I don’t know if Ryder would be able to squeeze himself to middleweight but it may be in his best interests if he can as he’s developed into someone that must be a pain to fight.

Surely no plan for Saunders as this fight was rejected recently?

Or, was that because Ryder was mandatory?

Want to see Smith in a good challenge with something to gain, that will bring the best out of him.

Now you say it, he does remind me of one of those droopy faced dogs but I can't think of the breed.

Apparently old Keith Lard told interviewer to Fxxk Off after he asked Joe about a rematch, a bit harsh considering the guys just trying to do his job, especially when you consider Paul Smith got the Abraham return and Crolla got a second crack at Linares

Agreed mate, he looked crap at the weigh in and I still think he looked drawn when the fight started.

Eubank must be thinking he has dodged a bullet. Can’t see him being in a hurry to sort out a match up with Ryder now.

Fair point mate. Was it not that dug molesting fukktard that pressed for the AA rematch as well? He's just worried that if folk start chanting for a rematch then he'll lose out on his cut for the Canelo money...

I wish mods wouldn’t move these threads to the RBR section the day immediately after the event, pretty much kills the conversation dead

You turn notifications on your threads? Your inbox must be mental? I get them on replies and that’s it.

Do you agree with my general point though? I bet most posters don’t ever look at this area, totally kills the discussion when busy RBR get moved the morning after a show. Should be left for at least a week in the main area where we all go.

Na, I woke up today to 10 notifications, that’s mostly quotes and comments mixed. And usually on after fight nights.

I do agree though. I raised this a while ago when Gil was a mod. After that they were being moved to this section after Monday..

But now it’s back to normal. It’s only the BrItish threads too, the CS RBR threads stay where they are. :-x

Yeah I don’t know why we are moving round by round to a different forum so quickly after the fight, it seems crazy, I’ve moved it back here because like someone says above it just stops the conversation dead - ridiculous.

That was a robbery and so predictable it’s madness. And Andy Lee is a terrible commentator ..whatever is happening in the ring he makes it sound like he’s discussing the weather 2 weeks ago.

Smith exposed as bang average, even with a huge light heavyweight size difference, he couldn’t really handle this guy, looked a robbery to me. Embarrassing - even Hearn looked red faced when his docile house trained judges came up with those sycophantic scores.
