Strange comments by Dillian in relation to the issue of his mandatory position.
“I’ve waited long enough, you know? The mandatory situation is still going on. Me and Povetkin is in the contract. It’s not like I’ve lost to someone and then … no, it’s still a contract. So, the mandatory position is just on hold at the minute. So, the winner of this fight should just be mandatory and should be in line for the title fight next. Hopefully, I don’t have to wait a thousand days again or whatever it was.”
You can't knock him for fighting his own case, but this is strange. He says "its not like I've lost to somebody...." yet he got knocked spark out !

I thought Fwank's comments on Dillian's thousand day wait were priceless, something to the effect of, in those thousand days, Tyson was down the pub for about six hundred of them and he still came back and got a WBC title fight sooner than Dillian

Think Whyte will win this time. Molina beats Wardley for me but it's an interesting fight because we'll see if Wardley is ready for this level or not.

I know it is just really playing around - but Povetkin did not look good there. I am not convinced he is fully over the covid.

He did look slow, but I also felt Whyte seemed wary about exposing his chin, because of course.
Pov needs to go for it while he's enough energy to slip and pressure, but then if Whyte starts aggressively and doesn't get clipped he'll win that physical match. Standing off because he's mentally unrecovered is Pov's big hope.
On paper I think it's strongly in Whyte's favour, but the known unknowns make it hard for me to call it with much confidence. I mean I think Whyte wins by KO this time, but I ain't bettin' nuthin!

I don’t think that’s a bad thing though. Sky/Matchroom are seemingly looking to do more to pre promote all of their shows as they had a couple of decent build up shows to Okolie’s fight (with interviews with all of the previous British world cruiserweight champs) and they’ve got a fairly good programme now pushing Campbell Hatton’s debut. The more boxing on TV in whatever form the better as far as I’m concerned.
If you compare the promotion on their respective platforms and on social of the Okolie fight and this weekend’s PPV to the 2 BT shows this weekend then it’s night and day the difference.

Although I think Wardley will win by KO (1/9), in my opinion the next most likely result is Molina by Decision. I managed to get 60/1 odds on that which was worth a punt rather than anything on Wardley who is a 1/40 favourite.

I feel wardley is grossly under rated maybe bcos he is pretty well behaved and doesnt shout the loudest .

This is my thinking as well. He didn't look bad at all in that workout. Think Dillian wins but Im betting on under to be safe

I think that could also be the case however he's fairly unproven against someone who can actually box or take him into the later rounds. I think he will most likely win this one but the the betting odds don't reflect the true odds of the match in my opinion. He seems a decent guy so it would be good to see him go further.

I'm expecting a demolition job from Whyte, he really should have won last time, but seemed hesitant to get the job done. I do wonder if those Povetkin body shots played more of a part than they have been given credit for.
