I thought that fight was a risk, for a guy who was 4-0 and almost zero amateur background.
surely not much of a risk for a powerful guy with sharp coordination, fast hands and feet, an iron chin, a big gas tank (regardless of clearly tiring in the actual fight rather than sparring), and nice super heavyweight physique! he's got it all

Been said elsewhere, but I think they need to send him abroad for a few fights. This stage of his career's all about learning (starting with the straight right hand) and he's going to burn the audience out doing that. And he's not one who can be fast-tracked, frankly.

It wasn’t a risk. There’s literally 3 Spanish heavyweight fighters who have fought professionally in the last few years.
If you can’t beat this Spanish champion then professional fighting isn’t for you.
He’s 22… that’s his saving grace.
It was a horrid performance.

actually, i guess with big john's age and inexperience i couldnt be too mad at a fight like healy still, but would much like to see better tests

Yea probably not, id just like to see it ordered... take it to bids. see what happens. close fight for me.
probably bad business for fisher though, who probably wouldent wanna risk his lucrative can crushing gig.
Both will be competing for opponents over the next couple of years though, i think both need to alternate between journeymen for the learning, and pretty padded records for the hype... they can recycle the journymen, but your Vladimir Tereshkin, patric korte and JD chapman s are a rare find.

Fisher turns in a 2 minute KO and Eddie promised to have him out by years end.
Not sure he is learning anything from the level of guy they are putting in front of him now.
Still, he sold a lot of tickets, and his fans seemed to lap it up.

I wonder what he is getting paid… 20000? 50000? 100000? More? If he is sensible with his money he can basicaly have retirement kinda money befor he even ventures to area level…
Agree he needs to step up a little bit just to remind him to box sometimes rather than club. Slowly slowly, but just enough to keep him honest and progressing.

Shame this is part of the game now.
But fisher will be exciting in a few years when he's put in with someone with a pulse.

I don’t think they were true back of head shots. They were just on/behind the ear. But they were close.
Wait rewatched the first ones probably is. But if your standing face to face you gotta be able to throw a looping right, if your opponent turns his head that’s kinda on him…
