Don’t didn’t come across very well in the interview, at least the two minutes I watched.

Saying how wise you are, and how you’re not gonna answer that question, then immediately answering that question by saying how your man has virtually no chance at all, probably shows you’re not quite as wise as advertised

Still managed by Bowers but trained by Don Charles now after leaving Shane.
Martin Bowers is a better trainer and has a far superior set up than Charles. It’s all really bizzare
Agreed. I didn’t think Bowers came across well during the Joyce fight though and I actually thought Shane was a near perfect fit for him.

Strange.
Yeah, agreed mate. I thought Martin’s lack of experience at the time helped to hang Dubois out to dry. He should have pulled him in the corner when the eye was completely closed or at least had the speed of thought to throw in the towel in when Daniel went down & was clearly distressed.

Yeah, shocking decision leaving Shane. I was starting to see some slight improvements in Dubois footwork & positioning - not drastic, but a work in progress.

Usyk-Dubois Purse Bid To Proceed With ‘More Than Two Bidders’: “We Have Everything In Place”

The sanctioning body had allowed both teams to enter negotiations for a 30-day period ending on May 2, but Usyk’s promoter, Alex Krassyuk, told Boxing Social they called for purse bids before that final deadline.

“We called the immediate purse bid on April 27th but it took a month to make it happen. We are bidding on behalf of the Champion and we have everything in place.”

Krassyuk believes that their bid – one which he has previously stated could see the fight land in Poland should it win – will be accompanied by at least two others, including Dubois’ representatives, Queensberry Promotions. He also mentioned a strategy that may be in play.

“I know that there will be more than two bidders including Queensberry Promotions. It is also possible that someone else bids on their behalf to secure the higher bid in order to withdraw in case the lower bid is also workable.”

"It is a fair procedure when the agreement has not been found. Whoever bids more – wins, very simple.”

Eddie Hearn recently told Boxing Social that he would consider making a bid despite not having either fighter in his stable.

Krassyuk reaffirmed Usyk’s desire to serve his ordered defences as champion, describing it as ‘important’ despite the previous promise of a Fury fight massively outweighing its draw.

I'd be up for Poland for that.

Purse bids today…

1. Do they actually happen?
2. Who do we think wins the bid?
3. How much does it go for?

I think…

1. Yes.
2. Team Usyk
3. $9m

1. Yes - Team Usyk called for them over a month ago. They've stalled in enough.
2. Team Usyk - They have the funds, they want to have it in Poland. They'll sell the TV rights to Sky, BT or DAZN in the UK anyway so win/win. I do have a feeling Matchroom will have a sneaky bid.
3. $11.32m

Yeah. Wouldn’t surprise me if Matchroom bid for it with the UAE in mind.

Great. That’s as close as Usyk can get to a homecoming which is something he massively deserves.

Just edited my post to say something similar. Going to be tough work for Dubois.

Yeah. I’d imagine he’d be getting a couple of million to soften the blow. In fairness winnings a heavyweight world title, never mind 3, should be tough work.

I think they were looking to do AJ/Whyte on the same date. Hopefully they don’t make them clash.

Team Usyk: $8,057,000
Team Dubois: $5,620,050

Usyk (20-0, 13KOs) is due $6,042,750, 75-percent of the winning bid as the WBA ‘Super’ titleholder. Dubois (19-1, 18KOs) and his team are entitled to a career-high $2,014,250 payday per the standard 25-percent.

Not a bad pay day for slightly dubious Dubois. He looked all the the place against the chunky cruiserweight last fight. I’d imagine this will be incredibly one-sided.

I do actually. I’be turned in to a big fan of Usyk. Will see what the situation is when it’s formally announced - it’s been a few years since I went to see a fight overseas in Europe.

Could be a decent event, if Krassyuk gives BrickTop a couple of undercard slots

Krassyuk has a few unbeaten guys he could chuck in for a European or alphabet trinket against some of Frank's guys.

Could be any of them really.

Maybe they give first refusal to BT?
