Wilt Chamberlin would have wet his pants entering the ring. We ain't play'n ball
ALI VS. TYSON

You know this whole thread is ridiculous. Ali was a professional fighter......It is like Ed "Too Tall" Jones of the Dallas Cowboys who fought a few pro fights. "Too Tall" said he could become the HW champion of the world.....What a joke!! "Too Tall" got his ass broke in his very first pro fight by a little mexican heavyweight. He was down and out, but was able to rise before the count. He then got his ass beat, and was given a gift decision. He went on to a 6-0 pro career. He was an ALL PRO defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, a player of great size and football skill, but he sure was no fighter. There is differnce. If you guys do not recognize that then maybe you should go to another page and talk about figure skating.

It is one thing to pose with the champ for a picture, it is another thing to fight him!!

I certainly am! 8) ...for one thing boxers do not boast about being boxers, secondly your 'knowledge' and views on the game make me very dubious that you have even 'watched' that much boxing let alone taken part in it yourself!!!...Grimm wrote:Well where are you from I challenge all and welcome all challenges.Sweet Scientist wrote:...and he claims to be a boxer!...probably at the local Wal Mart....![]()

And it looks to me as if you are challenging the fact that I am a boxer.
I have never boasted about being a boxer.silkov wrote:I certainly am!

But what I am saying is that you people that have never been in the ring will never know much about boxing at all.

Says Grimm. But what I am saying is that you people that have never been in the ring will never know much about boxing at all.
Well listen here pal....being a card girl, carrying the round cards does not give you in the ring experience....

I know, that there is the reason that you have no ring experience.ringsider wrote:Says Grimm. But what I am saying is that you people that have never been in the ring will never know much about boxing at all.

Face it Grimm, you have been beaten verbally, and in boxing debate, all that is left is to give you a real boxing lesson. Which if your inside the ring skills are the same as your posting skills......I will clobber you.
I am undefeated too, just like Ed "Too Tall" Jones was......

sweet scientist u seem to be getting in a lot of name calling arguements with people lately.
anyways, grimm i do agree with sweet scientist and others. but in this way: chamberlin was a phenomenol athlete for someone that size and I have no doubt he could have more success in the ring, than other athletes who switched careers. HOWEVER, WERE TALKING ABOUT HIM BEING WHAT MANY CONSIDER THE GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF ALL TIME????? NOW MAYBE I CAN SEE WILT TRAINING HARD AND BEATING JOUNREYMAN, BUT THEIRS NO WAY HE CAN BEAT SOME OF THE TOP CONTENDERS WHO HAVE BEEN BOXING FOR YEARS NOW. UR BASICALLY SAYING WILT WILL WIN BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE, BECAUSE THEIRS NO WAY HES GONNA BE ABLE TO TRAIN AND GET THE SKILLS OF A CONTENDER IN 6 MONTHS. HE WILL NOT HAVE GOOD ENOUGH SKILLS CAUSE HE HAS NO EXPERIENCE.
MUHAMMAD ALI WOULD HAVE AN EASY TIME WITH WILT. WERE TALKING ABOUT MUHAMMAD ALI!! NOT JEAN PEIRRE COOPMAN. u cant just go into a new sport and except to beat the best based on physical status, u need the skills. why do u think small heavyweights like tyson and marciano beat the big guys??? ali will be able to beat wilt in every area of boxing. wilts only chance is if he has a punch and ali has never been knocked out.

That is the reason why I give Chamberlain a chance, Ali was used to fighting tall, I don't know how he would've handled having to getting inside and fight Wilt Chamberlain.BrocktonBlockbuster49 wrote:sweet scientist u seem to be getting in a lot of name calling arguements with people lately.

How do you know we have never been in the ring?.... if your knowledge of boxing was any smaller it would be the same size as your brain.
I don't know if you've ever been in the ring, what I was saying is that the people that have never been in the ring (to box) will never know much about boxing. You can know all about boxers but you won't know much about boxing.silkov wrote:Grimm wrote:I have never boasted about being a boxer.silkov wrote: I certainly am! 8) ...for one thing boxers do not boast about being boxers, secondly your 'knowledge' and views on the game make me very dubious that you have even 'watched' that much boxing let alone taken part in it yourself!!!...8)

So why despite 'being in the ring' do you know so little about boxing?.
Because if you really belive that Chamberlin could have beaten Ali... even a shot Ali... then your knowledge is seriously screwed up son!.
1st: it is impossible to have knowledge of the situation because, there isn't any footage of Wilt Chamberlain boxing and there isn't anyone like Wilt Chamberlain that Muhammad Ali has fought.silkov wrote:Grimm wrote:I don't know if you've ever been in the ring, what I was saying is that the people that have never been in the ring (to box) will never know much about boxing. 2nd: People always think that because they have knowledge about boxers that it is the same thing as having knowledge of boxing. You would have to see me boxing to know whether or not if I have boxing knowledge.

what a change of heart...now you only give Wilt a 'chance'?Grimm wrote: That is the reason why I give Chamberlain a chance, Ali was used to fighting tall,
If you don't understand how to get inside of a bigger man, you must know less about boxing than you let on...I don't know how he would've handled having to getting inside and fight Wilt Chamberlain.
Stop with the change of heart bull, I am saying Wilt is my pick. If he is my pick then of course he has a chance.what a change of heart...now you only give Wilt a 'chance'?
No, I don't understand how MUHAMMAD ALI would get inside to fight a much larger man, I know how it is done.If you don't understand how to get inside of a bigger man, you must know less about boxing than you let on...
