Bisping was a prick. Whittaker is 26 and improves every time we see him. His TDD was phenomenal and I think he'll knock Bisping into next week. He also did it injured against the best MW in the world.

Romero has everything except a good gas tank to be champion.

Same, I had to pay $100 to get my bill that I don't even have yet down enough to buy it. I did that in the morning before the main event was cancelled. Then I went out and got hammered. Should have just went to bed, but the main event was solid. I hate Romero, so that was nice. And gaithjie was worth every penny of the ppv he wasn't on.

Possibly. There is no doubt that Romero could catch him. But, Bisping has been shocking the shit out of me lately. i would be rooting for Yoel but if Bisping can get Yoel into the 3rd, I think the pace would drown him. How is the promotion for McGregor/Mayweather working? Is it strictly up to Mayweather/Showtime to promote this event? Or can the UFC promote as well?

The reason I ask is because the UFC is probably the most effective promotion machine around. And if they have a hand in promoting this event, they should stand to bank a hell of a lot. IMO, it would be foolish to not have the UFC co promoting this fight.

FYI, if this sounds naive, it's because I definitely am when it comes to this side of either sport.

Can't wait for the kick off presser this Tuesday. It's going to be more entertaining than the fight. I'm expecting each to be on their A game in getting this fight sold.

I agree he's not that active but he's able to slow guys down with the threat of his power and TDs but with Whittaker he was far more active especially wrestling wise than I've seen him before and I think that's because of Whittakers one shot power. Against Bisping he probably wouldn't use as much offensive wrestling as he did against Whittaker. I doubt he or anyone else not in Whittakers camp saw him having that much trouble with Robs TDD. His game plan probably revolved around getting him to the ground early and easily, being able to conserve his energy before setting him up for something and taking him out. But he had such a struggle physically he was done after those first two rounds. I don't know that Bisping could do what Whittaker did in the first couple of rounds.

Yoel looked amazing in those first two rounds but it was obvious that he wasn't going to be able to do it for 5 rounds and doing it in the third may have exhausted him to the point where he got taken out. Did anyone else noticed how sold his chin is? He ate Robs best shots like they were nothing. He's still probably the best 3 round middleweight in the world but unfortunately for him he needs to be able to consistently go 5 and at 40 years old his gas tank isn't improving enough to be able to go 5.

GSP wanted to wait until October to fight, Dana and Bisping tried to force his hand to get July but it didn't work. Can't blame them really he knew he was coming back months ago but still wanted 10 months to prepare. The latest rumour is that GSP will face Woodley/Maia.

If GSP fails miserably in his return bout at 170, where does that leave Bisping/GSP? Sure, they could fight, but it wouldn't do as good had Bisping been the first to get him. While I understand and give Michael props for what he did, as much as I can't stand the dude, he has paid his dues and deserves a big payday.

I admit I get caught up in how athletic the guy is when he is fresh. He's using skills he started learning in his 30s which I think is just so impressive.

I agree a healthy Whittaker probably would've stopped him as the fight went on. A lot of people seem to be underrating(not on here) what Rob was able to do though, now some are calling Romero a bum and even more outrageously some are saying he was robbed.

Frank Mor has been released from his UFC contract.
Fedor vs. Mir will be a fight Bellator will be looking to put on.
Hopefully Viacom throw the cheque book at Brock Lesnar and get the trilogy fight made.
Wouldn't mind seeing Frank take on Josh Barnett in a Metamoris-style grappling match aswell....
