I don't know man. I ain't counting this kid out of anything. He's young and intense.
Of course I very well could be wrong, but I think Ponz is breaking in as one of the best at 170. I like Perry as well, but he seems too wild and unsettled to beat Santiago. Of course my initial post made it look like I'm giving Perry a 0% chance when in reality I see it more as a 60/40 for Ponzinibbio.

I can definitely see that. This fight is a wild one. Ponz's win over Gunnar was impressive. But, Perry poses a much different style. And I like his wild side. Maybe he has matured some. Like I said, he's young. This is a good fight.

Think Till needs to sort his language out before ge gets to the big time cause you cant say f*ck this and f*ck that in every interview you have,ye emotions run high after a fight so you can firguve the after fight interview in the octagon but when you having interviews in the back there is no need for the language. Good fighter tho

Till reminds me a lot of Conor. Similar striking style. Similar way of talking about law of attraction and all that jazz, and also just how confident he is.

He is much more likable than Conor.

It was close, but I thought the decision was right. The 2nd round was the decider. Moussasi won the 1st clearly, and Shlemenko won the 3rd clearly. The 2nd was close though. Shlemenko was getting the better of the stand up, but Moussasi controlled very good on the ground. I thought Moussasi edged it with his more dominate ground work. So, I didn't have issue with the decision.

Till vs Wonderboy if he gets past Masivdal would be interesting. Two great strikers.

Masvidal has been getting really good the past few years. It's a really big 'if' for Wonderboy getting past Jorge. His losses within the past few years have been SD losses to top competition.

Wonderboy is the most tentative title challenger I’ve ever seen. Fought like it was a TKD comp.

Yeah its a great matchup. Wonderboy has the better kicking game, but Masvidal is the better boxer for sure.

I was high on him after he beat the shell of Big Rigg, hindsight shows that wasn’t the same Hendricks. He shouldn’t ever get another title shot, unless he changes his style dramatically. Point fighter extraordinaire.

Maia gets pretty much dominated by Covington. And Machida gets absolutely starched by my hometown guy, Brunson.

Was a very entertaining card.

I didn't think Covington was all that impressive. I actually thought he got outboxed in the first round, but outworked Maia (who is a week shy of 40) and took it to him late.

Covington/Masvidal would be interesting.

The only thing impressive was his takedown defense, impressive work rate and post fight interview I should be ashamed to have liked. The only thing I'll waver with is if they put him in with someone like the guy that iced Cerrone and he was disciplined enough to switch to a straight wrestling approach than he could beat some other guys.

I'm such a big MMA fan that for years when people casually watching were complaining about grappling I was losing my mind when wrestlers like Koscheck decided they were stand up guys for no reason.

War Brunson, I've always hated Machida.

I agree, Covington is not the most technical striker. He was continuously getting tagged by lefts from a not so great striker. He was reaching too much with his shots as well. But, what I do like about him is his toughness and wrestling. Not sure his age, but if he can tighten up his striking, he can make some noise.

This was a big win for him. But Maia was a good style matchup for him. Darren Till would most likely smoke this kid at this point in time.
