Makes you wonder why we cant have a combined British and Irish team.

Boxing news reports that the British Lionhearts will replace the German franchise in the next season which starts in January 15.
They will be in the same group as the Cuban and Russian teams.

I'd be shocked if Pedro was back, he was one of the country's coaches last year, he is the head of the AIBA facility in Khazakstan. last I heard this years coaches were: Candy Lopez, Pat Barry, and Auggie Sanchez.

Andrew Selby suffered a surprise loss against Asat Usenaliyev stopped him in round 5 and it proved decisive as the lionhearts lost 3-2 to the Ukrainian team.Essuman and Joyce both won with Cordina and Brown losing
Russia beat China 4-1 while the Kazakhis beat Poland 3-2 although Steven Donnelly had a good win over Madiyar Ashkeyev by a score of 146-139

USA knockouts won 3-2 over the Italian team with Brent Venegas,Jose Balderas and Brian Ceballo winning with Steve Nelson and Cam F Awesome losing.Awesome was disqualified with Ceballo beating Welsh boxer Freddie Evans.

The British team meet Russia on 9 April at the famous Trumans brewery in London.It ia a black tie affair and should be fun.
