I still believe this fight may not happen I think Fury pulls out injured sorry but gut feeling

He definitely does not punch his weight and p4p looks an average puncher. Technique is awful. But, fully accept haye is no iron chin which makes it such a good match up as he could do a silly dance if fury lands a great punch flush.
Haye KO% at Heavyweight: 71.43%
Fury KO% at Heavyweight: 71.43%
I'd argue that Haye has never taken out a heavyweight with a single punch, in the sense that they couldn't get up off the canvas. Instead, particularly in the cases of Barrett and Ruiz, his opponents keep getting up until the ref waves it off.
Conversely, in his last few fights, Fury ended both the Cunningham and Rogan fights with single punches, though I will concede that Cunningham was absolutely knackered at the point of the KO.
You forgot the ever-so-subtle hint of Gary Numan.....MachoMan09 wrote:If you could fuse the sperm of Peter Mandelson and Rowan Atkinson, and use it to fertilise a frozen egg from Chrissie Hynde, you'd breed an Adam Smith.Benelio wrote:Adam Smith creepily conducting it as per usual. I thought Smith and Nelson put some decent questions forward on Ringside. It was one of the better shows.invisigoth wrote:You forgot the ever-so-subtle hint of Gary Numan.....MachoMan09 wrote:If you could fuse the sperm of Peter Mandelson and Rowan Atkinson, and use it to fertilise a frozen egg from Chrissie Hynde, you'd breed an Adam Smith.Benelio wrote:Adam Smith creepily conducting it as per usual. I think when alls said and done, this sums it up, i know the threads were merged but i haven't seen a thread as long as this one for a long long time and everyone at my work place who generally speaking have no interest in boxing are all talking about things like, 'Did you see that Tyson fury fella on telly last night' etc......i think its great, cannot wait for itdalcumly wrote:This is a worthwhile debate ,and all the recent comments are valid. But, one fact cannot be disputed - Fury has never 'bottled' it in a fight. Haye has v Klitschko. Why did Haye crash , because he suddenly felt the power from the big Ukrainian and didn't want to know.
Does Fury punch as hard as Klitschko ,probably not , certainly not as regularly ,but if he starts landing properly then Haye might think again.
But I say again - Haye will need to nail Fury to the canvas.
Its great for boxing though - everybody's talking about it already.
Asterix wrote:Where did you find out that Hughie Fury has to hold back in sparring with Tyson Fury?MachoMan09 wrote:Because he can see a future star in Hughie and in a couple of years a fight between the two of them could be twice as big as this match. May as well sow the seeds early. If Hughie is having to hold back in sparring already against Tyson, how good is he going to be when he's fully mature? This is a big event, no doubt, but down the line Haye vs Hughie Fury could be both a big event and a really competitive match.
Can't WAIT for that fight also, i'm a big big fan of Alvarez so i'll be rooting for him, up against it though, obviously.MachoMan09 wrote:I agree. I think it's a none fight (I hope I'm proved wrong) but a huge boxing event in the UK. Personally I'm a lot more excited about Mayweather vs Alvarez but whenever boxing has a mainstream buzz I'm happy.
With your wording, you made it sound like fact. As for how you would know, the same way anyone else would (news item, contacts, etc.)MachoMan09 wrote:I was being purely hypothetical, Asterix, after all, how would I know? All I know for sure is that Tyson is definitely amongst the top two heavyweights in his Uncle's gym.

I like Tyson Fury, he's good fun, he entertains in and out of the ring, but lets be honest, the man is weapons grade stupid and he's not even had a 20 year career of being punched in the head yet.
I honestly rate him top 5, all time, p4p of stupid people in sport.

I wasnt calling ya stupid mate. I was agreeing with what you were sayingmickey1975 wrote:So I'm stupid too? Fury is not thick at all, he is very clever but uneducated.
Exactly, you could tell he was a bit frustrated yesterday with his lack of what most people would class as articulacy. When you use phrases like "what he has brung up" you just show your level of education (or lack of). Does that mean he's thick? No. Is he going to be a million quid richer at the end of September? Looks like it. I'm sure far better educated people would like to be in that position, particularly at the age of 23.mickey1975 wrote:So I'm stupid too? Have you ever considered that Fury might have under developed intelligence?davie wrote:Being wealthy does not automatically mean you're intellegent and intellegence will not necessarily equate to wealth.
To think that is a bit stupid to be perfectly honest.
I went to school with a guy that was academically very good and he now delivers my post, while Katie Price is a multi-millionairre and Jade Goody managed to make herself famous.
The success of these people says more about the fuckwits with the tele remotes than the strengths, talents or intellegence of those on the box.
Tyson Fury has made a success of himself and got himself in a strong position in the heavywieght division, partly through being a decent boxer who happens to be 6'9" and partly through being a bit of a goat. None of this points to his astounding intellect.
That he has high intelligence but little formal schooling or a wide vocabulary?keithmoonhangover wrote:Have you ever considered that Fury might have under developed intelligence?davie wrote:Being wealthy does not automatically mean you're intellegent and intellegence will not necessarily equate to wealth.

That sort of thing mate, yes.palooka wrote:That he has high intelligence but little formal schooling or a wide vocabulary?keithmoonhangover wrote:Have you ever considered that Fury might have under developed intelligence?davie wrote:Being wealthy does not automatically mean you're intellegent and intellegence will not necessarily equate to wealth.

I agree mate. Some people on here tend to thin that if you can't spell, you're thick.palooka wrote:I'd go along with that and though some of the things he comes out with are crass others are funny; he has spoken about discrimination and some unsavoury aspects of travelling life; he seems thoughtful in longer (print) interviews; there have been a couple in the Guardian recently.
