I still believe this fight may not happen I think Fury pulls out injured sorry but gut feeling

This is going to be embarrassing, Fury is going to be bounced off the canvas. He might get up the first time but not the second.

I'd argue that Haye has never taken out a heavyweight with a single punch, in the sense that they couldn't get up off the canvas. Instead, particularly in the cases of Barrett and Ruiz, his opponents keep getting up until the ref waves it off.

Conversely, in his last few fights, Fury ended both the Cunningham and Rogan fights with single punches, though I will concede that Cunningham was absolutely knackered at the point of the KO.

I didn't give Haye much of a chance of stopping Del Boy given he's a cracking chin but landed some big bombs on him which shouldnt leave any doubt about his power at Heavyweight. Fury has been fighting taxi drivers and club fighters. Chisora and Johnston are the only 2 heavyweights he's faught with any kind of ranking and he could fight them for 100 rounds and not get a stoppage.


Fury's best chance vs Haye is to replicate his tactics vs Johnston, fight long, pump the jab, keep it boring, get the crowd booing, give Haye nothing to work with in the rounds and pick up the 10-9's by forcing the range with the jab.

Will he execute a gameplan like that though in what is goign to be a huge occassion? No, i don't think so, he'll get drawn into a fight (which might be his tactics anyway). First big overhand right that lands, it could be lights out for the Furry 1.

This is a worthwhile debate ,and all the recent comments are valid. But, one fact cannot be disputed - Fury has never 'bottled' it in a fight. Haye has v Klitschko. Why did Haye crash , because he suddenly felt the power from the big Ukrainian and didn't want to know.
Does Fury punch as hard as Klitschko ,probably not , certainly not as regularly ,but if he starts landing properly then Haye might think again.
But I say again - Haye will need to nail Fury to the canvas.
Its great for boxing though - everybody's talking about it already.

It's a circus side show, I really can't see why people are getting worked up over this. No wonder Haye & Booth have jumped at this: easy money and they don't even have to face a real heavyweight contender.

Fury was bounced off the canvas last time out by a cruiserweight who doesn't even have a big punch, and this is supposed to be a superfight ??

Anyone buying the PPV prepare to be massively disappointed when Fury gets flattened in double quick time.

I thought Smith and Nelson put some decent questions forward on Ringside. It was one of the better shows.

I think when alls said and done, this sums it up, i know the threads were merged but i haven't seen a thread as long as this one for a long long time and everyone at my work place who generally speaking have no interest in boxing are all talking about things like, 'Did you see that Tyson fury fella on telly last night' etc......i think its great, cannot wait for it

Everyone has different opinions.. Anyone that thinks Fury has no chance is mental in the head.. The punch that took out Cunningham would stop any heavyweight( yes it was illegal but still devastating) you can see Fury is hitting harder with every fight.. I don't think he will war I think he will do what wlad did and stay away and comfortably try and out point him.. Will Haye take risks to try and win?? I think that's the big question if he goes into his shell like the Wlad fight then Fury wins easily( very good chance of that).. If he gambles and goes for it this is a genuine 50/50 fight and whoever hits first will have a huge advantage.. I think there will be a early stoppage and will go for Fury.. He may need to get off the canvass to win but wait and see Hayes face if he does get up?? 3rd round Fury KO

If Fury landed it in later rounds like the Cunningham fight it'll put Haye away. He's got to get to those rounds first, though.

I think what Mickey was getting at is that Tyson is good at promoting himself and knows that to get the big fights and big paychecks thats what you have to do really. So going on that Fury is an intelligent and shrewd operator. Does he have an Einstein level intellect? Probably not but he's definietly not thick like some are making out he is.

Exactly, you could tell he was a bit frustrated yesterday with his lack of what most people would class as articulacy. When you use phrases like "what he has brung up" you just show your level of education (or lack of). Does that mean he's thick? No. Is he going to be a million quid richer at the end of September? Looks like it. I'm sure far better educated people would like to be in that position, particularly at the age of 23.

That sort of thing mate, yes.

I'd go along with that and though some of the things he comes out with are crass others are funny; he has spoken about discrimination and some unsavoury aspects of travelling life; he seems thoughtful in longer (print) interviews; there have been a couple in the Guardian recently.
