Takuma Inoue is said to be fighting a world ranked opponent in his second fight, he's an 18 year old
Masayoshi Nakatani claimed the OPBF title in fight #7, he's 24 and fighting at 135

I doubt you'd argue those guys have the talent of Rigondeux, and I'd be shocked if you're going to say Ohashi and Ioka don't know how to promote manage and train fighters...[/quote]

The Japanese and Thai system is very different to the British one, (I'm not an expert on anything so couldn't begin to say why).

I'll be honest, I've never heard of him, or the opponent, should I have done? But do you honestly believe they'd throw him in there in his first fight if they didn't think he could win?

If he stopped him in the 11th, he should have stopped Coyle in the 6th and based on the stoppage in the 12th, Coyle should have been waved off after the first knockdown in the 6th. Tonight has proved Coyle's going nowhere though, glass jaw, 2 dodgy stoppages in a row, weak to the body and he's not that good anyway, Mitchell will absolutely paste him.

Both men down 4 times, 3 point deductions (I didn't count Brizuela's on my card), left it at 102-101 Brizuela going into the last, they would have robbed him on the cards anyway.

It's different because promoters realise a loss isn't the end of the world (look at Ryosuke Iwasa as a great example, or Keita Obara). Our own promoters should realise that given the likes of Ricky Burns and Jamie McDonnell having losses on their record.

They also believe that if their fighters have the talent then they don't need to waste time in fights that have no purpose (the Thai system is different). Mr Ohashi was fast tracked himself and knows that if a fighter wants to be fast tracked and has the skill he shouldn't stop them, that's why the Inoue brothers have both signed with him and both shown real ambition to be champions in double quick fashion.

In Thailand many fighters fight regularly (Srisaket fought 7 times last year) as they get paid relative peanuts so need to be active. A lot of those fights though are mismatches to stay busy and get a small payment between bigger fights.

Coyle has heart alright, he's more bottle than skill or sense - Mitchell hits too clean for him.

Bit unfair that, he was a mess for the Katsidis fight and the left hook Burns hit him with would have done almost every lightweight in the world. He wouldn't really need heart against Coyle anyway, heart's needed for a war, he'd beat Coyle up.
