A friend of mine learned Chinese and Russian whilst away. He got a degree in business as well. Got to make the time pay.
HMP Services should really have a think about the qualifications they are offering to seasoned criminals and/or drug dealers!
edit...to avoid any offence, i'm aware HMP Service do not run irish jails
There's a few people around here who've had to change their ways, they've had 2 strikes and have stopped going out altogether, one of them has moved abroad (Dominican Republic).
Tell them they can change back again if they like, it's finished. To be fair, he got offered 18months on the day but decided to run the trial. Made matters worse when he jumped the dock and ended up on Crimewatch.

It seems silly to throw his life away like that but some people have very little impulse control, I knew a kid (dead now) who was found guilty by a jury and smashed the dock window and cut his throat with a piece of glass - he shouted 'You've done this to me' to the jury.
The people that are staying in are getting a bit old for it now in any case, the younger ones are well established.

Was that how he died? Or did he survive that and die from something else?

He survived that, it was quite superficial and the guards in the dock know first aid. He's died a few years ago in suspicious circumstances, he was pulled out of the canal after a night a Doncaster warehouse, there were people who said he'd been thrown in.

They've got a show Saturday in Preston
Let's hope Expe doesn't attend.
No chance of that, show doesn't look particularly appealing and I've no intention of giving any money to MGM. Staying well away from town on Saturday too because the council have let the EDL have a rally so there'll be knobheads everywhere.

I don't blame you mate, get yourself down to an MBC show instead

Alan Ryan's brother, Vincent, was shot dead in Dublin today. Gardaí were quick to say there's no connection to the murders earlier in the month but it was reported that the RIRA had some input in the weigh in shooting.
