6k last night for Crolla at £40-100 and £200 VIP and 7k for Perez 2 in November at similar prices, 4k for Flanagan and Smith in October at £40-£300 and £500 VIP, think the cheapest floor seat was about £200. Be interesting to see how many they'd sell if they put Flanagan on with the same set up and pricing as Crolla.maverick23 wrote:Whilst neither sells out the MEN, Crolla had c.7,000 there last night whilst Flanagan has (at a guess) 3-4,000. Crolla is more well known (the BBC website did a round by round last night which is unusual for them) and his fanbase is growing. There's no way Hearn will allow it for a 50:50 split.wesshaw1985 wrote:they are both champs and neither sells out the M.E.N alone.maverick23 wrote:
I don't really see how that could work. Whilst Flanagan may well be the better fighter, Crolla sells (I'm guessing) over double the amount of tickets and is more well known so will be looking for more than a 50% cut.
50/50, sealed bids, W@rren vs. Hearn, who ever thinks they can generate the most cash wins.
W@rren has been calling for it for awhile, Hearn always shys away.
Steve Wood: "I work with Frank and Matchroom, they should put sealed bids to stage and the winner gets to put on the fight"
If Steve Wood was Crolla's manager then I doubt he'd be backing a sealed bids idea. It works in Flanagan's favour.
Who were they fighting with? The Venezuelans?ste1983 wrote:heard there was plenty of bother again at the Manchester arena last night? Seems the United fans finally getting on the Crolla bandwagon may have its negative points.
Each other I presume, just came from someone who was there said 'plenty of fights in the crowd, mostly united divs off their heads'forcefraser wrote:Who were they fighting with?
