I enjoyed that, quality British Heavyweight title fight, I gave Dubois everything but Gorman played his part, his heart was incredible especially after getting put down in the 3rd, clubbed down with a few right hands, when he got up he took the fight to Dubois, great action, Dubois boxed a mature fight, nice jab and the right hand, landed it around the side of Gorman's guard, the finish was top drawer, doubled up the jab and then over with the right, big shot, he's developing well Dubois

Bloody hell Dubois has no charisma or personality does he? That's going to be a handicap.

He ate shots against Lartey last time out, it was a fire fight. They were some BIG shots.
He poses a huge danger to the division.

In hindsight his weight was a warning sign. He needed mobility to have a decent hope of tiring out Dubois.
I haven't really rated Dubois until now, but that's moved him up in my book. I think he's a solid opponent for the top guys.

Gorman from the get-go threw away all his craftsmanship to try and brawl with Dubois. After getting knocked down and cut, instead of settling down and stop throwing wild haymakers & instead try to slip the jab and work the body, continued to try and do the same tactics that caused him to get hurt in the first place. He could have done so much better had he used his mind and speed. Ego defeated Gorman as much as anything else.

What’s the better win..,
Swatting Gorman aside with minimal fuss, or labouring to a 12 round points win over Jennings ?

I give them both a lot of credit for fighting each other at this stage of their careers.
DDD is going to make for some great fights in the future. Gorman clearly has some work ahead of him to get better, but I think he will get better.

DDD vs Jennings? ASAP!
I’d like to measure him against Joyce

Good win for dubois, gorman was just too raw, not enough jabs and throwing wild shots making himself off balance. Thats an experience issue imo and a step up in levels always exposes your weaknesses, i thinks he's got plenty of time to work on his flaws and come again. Nice British title fight that, i think it's so early on in their careers to be overly critical of either man from their displays. Certainly nothing i saw would make me think either man hasn't got what it takes and equally at this stage i wouldn't get overly excited about the "world level" talk, they showed themselves to be exciting / promising prospects that could develop well in the next couple of years and dubois was really decent tonight - great fundamentals.

When he gets tagged by a semi significant shot he always seems momentarily buzzed to me.
I think the opposite, he takes everything that’s kanded so far and doesn’t seem fazed at all.
Very impressed with him tonight, I thought Gorman was going to give him plenty of trouble but he dealt with him easy. It’s like he was ultra focussed tonight, which makes his previous performances look like he was going through the motions,
Early days but he can beat them all. It’s a competitive but not a particularly super high level at heavyweight right now. I genuinely think Dubois can beat them all and become the clear number 1.
Gonna be hard to match now!

Beats them all? Let's not jump ahead too much. He KO'd Gorman not Ortiz.

Don't see why it should be. He does his business in the ring as shown tonight. This blah blah blah is funny sometimes but I ignore it most of the time when they get in the ring.

As I said, Jennings was on the card, he’d be easy to make. Stopping Jennings would be a statement. Wlad didn’t, and Joyce didn’t.....
Jennings vs Dubious

He's only 21. Just take it easy. Plotting a path for the next 24 months. Defend it twice, then Joyce, then Hughie Fury. Then he is in his mid 20s. Chisora could be done by then. Then the world title when Fury, Wilder and Ruiz have done their business. There is no rush here.

I should have said, in time, he beats them all. He’s too green right now but as I say, it’s not a golden era, just because it’s competitive doesn’t mean the level is particularly high. Give it 18-24 months and Dubois can beat them all. I was impressed with his composure tonight for one so young. He was tying Gorman up, pulling him about a bit, doing stuff Joshua doesn’t even know how to do.
The big 3/4 right now are overrated, someone with good fundamentals, a very good chin and top class power will beat them all. Dubois can be that man.
