Scott Harrison hasnt got an opponent for the fight as of yet but reports of his health arent that good. According to BIBA there is the chief support to be confirmed so I hope it isnt Bruno. This is BIBA's biggest event and could well turn out to be a big disaster if there is any serious injuries.
Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika

Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
Yeah I heard Scott Harrison I hope not as his day has gone but I suppose it’s another name that might pull a few in I would be interested to see how this show sells as it’s very ambitious to try and fill the NEC I just don’t see who’s going to buy the tickets tbh an earlier poster said would probably appeal to the over 50s well I’m over 60 and remember Nigel in his pomp and that’s how I prefer to remember him not as a 55 year old chasing a few quid the saddest thing is he was a shot fighter over 20 years ago I just hope and pray he doesn’t get hurt
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
Really? He looks like he's fornicating flying in the gym on his twitter. Puts benns old guy work outs to shame. Is it neurological? Hope not. Obv been gym fit means fornicate all in terms of actual fighting.MasterG wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 03:45Scott Harrison hasnt got an opponent for the fight as of yet but reports of his health arent that good. So Benn and Harrison are OK to fight but Bruno isn't?MasterG wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 03:45Scott Harrison hasnt got an opponent for the fight as of yet but reports of his health arent that good. You're right, we wouldn't want BIBAs big night and excellent reputation to be ruined by one of the ageing ex boxers they have cleared fit to fight having any sort of injury.
You are more interested in BIBAs reputation than the health of any of the boxers. Why is that?
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
Im not interested in their reputation. When I say its BIBA's biggest event to date I simply mean that as a fact rather than making it out to be something special. Bruno and Harrison should not be fighting. Bruno at the moment is pure rumor, Harrison is scheduled to fight and by what ive heard recently I dont think its in his best interested if the talk is true from what ive heard. Its up to Benn if he wants to fight its as simple as that. After the McAllister v Williams fight I lost all interest in BIBA, not saying they are bad but I dont think some boxers should be fighting.ewenhay wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 04:40So Benn and Harrison are OK to fight but Bruno isn't?MasterG wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 03:45

Also this bill is going to be televised live and I wouldnt like to see this circus end in disaster purely for a boxer.
Hope thats answered your q's

I'm also concerned that this will end in a disaster.
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
If I were Benn I would be annoyed that the BBBoC granted Flintoff a license and not him!

Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
May as well add Bruno v Audley Harrison on the bill.
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
I Still have my doubts if the event will go ahead. Not read anyone wanting tickets for it yet.

I'm with you.
I've had a feeling that there's going to be some sort of 'injury' that causes the cancellation, especially if ticket sales are not what the promoters had hoped for.
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
Didn’t Benn suffer with bad hands towards the end of his career? I’m sure I read that his mrs used to massage his hands for an hour just so he could get off to sleep at night.
I can see Benn having hand trouble against Bika’s head.

Heard Scott Harrison boxing Iain Weaver .
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
Weaver still has a BBBoC licence so I doubt that fight will happen.

Don't think he's had a British board license for a few years , due to medical issues , that's why most go down BIBA route .

Ya I remember asking about Weavs and being told he was active on BIBA due to medical issues.
Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
If the same guy is due to fight. I could be wrong but the name has a scheduled fight coming up on a BBBoC bill.Floyd the snake wrote: ↑15 Oct 2019, 13:36 Don't think he's had a British board license for a few years , due to medical issues , that's why most go down BIBA route .

Fighting in the USA according to the Rec. BoxRec recorded him in the UK a couple times, but never under BBBC. It was German Boxing Association x2 and Malta.

So under which licence allows him to fight for an American title? And what connection does he have to fight for an American titlemargaret thatcher wrote: ↑15 Oct 2019, 13:41 Fighting in the USA according to the Rec. Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
He would need to get a state boxing license to compete in the USA but for many states that is as simple as filling out a form, paying $85 and having a blood test when you get there. Any boxer can compete for an ABF title.MasterG wrote: ↑15 Oct 2019, 13:58So under which licence allows him to fight for an American title? Re: Nigel Benn V Sakio Bika
Iain Weaver had his BBBoC licence taken away (indefinitely suspended) before his first pro fight several years ago, owing to an arachnoid cyst showing up on a brain scan. He has never fought with a BBBoC licence despite having tried for years to regain his licence. He was basically born with the cyst and despite having hundreds of fights with the cyst the BBBoC won’t return his licence.
Very talented fighter is Weaver. Traveller background.
It is confirmed that he has signed to fight Harrison on the Benn-Bika undercard.
Ps You can fight in America without a BBBoC licence.
