That's my fight of the year.

It went pretty much how I expected, except for one thing: Kambosos has a HoF heart. I just thought he was common or garden tough, the ref liable to step in after a delayed rise. And so I sensed R10 was the beginning of the end, but against the bigger, stronger, harder-punching man, Kam recomposed and went back at him.

I found it interesting that, come the championship rounds, Loma held Lopez from advancing with his skills, and Kam with his toughness. Probably the best thing Kam did was throw his left in 3s and 4s, rarely hitting Lopez with any, but taking away his counter-right every time and forcing range adjustments.

Given Lopez's immediate reaction, I don't feel Kam has any duty to offer a rematch unless a bit of humility sets in over the coming weeks. Else Lopez can move to 140 and blame his inability to finish it on draining, but without his size advantage he'll be up against it. Ramirez, Prograis, Tank and Taylor...

Gotta love fights where booing fans convert.

Been looking forward to this for so long. Lopez gets dusted by Prograis and Taylor, maybe Ramirez, that's what is lies ahead at SLW.
A change of team, ditch the dad, and get a nutritionist- go for the rematch. It's his best chance.

For me that's the 2nd best fight of the year so far, after Fury-Wilder. And the biggest upset.

Lopez started the fight like an idiot, with guns blazing recklessly, and he got punished for that. After he failed to KO Kambosos, he wasn't able to keep boxing against him. Lopez got frustrated pretty fast. Kambosos is an excellent counter-puncher and he controlled the vast majority of the fight. He also was very tough to bounce back after blinking and sufering a KD.

Lopz Sr is also a dork. "F*ck this motherf*cker up" are true words of wisdom in the corner. Norman Stone was happy, if he saw it.

It'll be great to see Kambo against Loma/Commey winner or Haney/Diaz winner at worst. No rematch is deserved for Lopez.

Ogawa got (for now) back his IBF super-feather title, with his relentless assault like against Tevin. Should be a good one against Rakhimov

Hearn has an option on him now so will likely fight Cordina or Barrett next. I’d rather the Cordina fight.

Ogawa/Fuzile was a strange one, although Ogawa scored three knockdowns I only had him winning 113-112, thought the DAZN commentary were far too quick to praise Ogawa for walking forward but not landing, don't get me worng Fuzile wasn't exactly pissing it but I preferred his counter punching on the backfoot, Ogawa struggled to land clean or pin him down, Fuzile's southpaw style and movement were edging most rounds for me, Ogawa then dropped Fuzile in the 5th, right hand to the jaw had Fuzile taking a count, his legs were shaky but he done well to survive the round on his bike

Things quietened down again for a few rounds, Ogawa pressed having occasional success and Fuzile boxed on the backfoot and made him miss, I had him up going into the 12th fair play to Ogawa had a great last round, dropped Fuzile again with another right then again with same shot to seal the deal, his power the difference in the end

115-111 Kambosos Jr on my card, outworked Lopez and outfought him as well as outlanded him, Lopez came out round 1 like a man possessed and was doing well before walking into a big right hand to flip the script, Lopez actually done well next couple rounds but Kambosos grew into fight each passing round and picked up the points, landing the jab and hitting Lopez with the right hand, Kambosos always fought it out in exchanges and usually got the last words Lopez looked flat and too intent on landing one big shot

That big shot came in the 10th huge right caught Kambosos clean put him down for a count and Kambosos was hurt but Lopez let him off hook quite easily and Kambosos finished fight back in control, disappointing from Lopez but full credit to Kambosos he was inspired and won the war

He claims…

- Lopez won every round. You could maybe give Kambosos 2/3 rounds tops.
- The knockdown was a balance issue. He then said it was a flash knockdown and Teo wasn’t hurt.

- He intimated the judges were bribed.
- Teo will return to fight Taylor in the Spring
- Everyone knows Teo won the fight.

I don’t normally like the idea of getting rid of trainer after someone loses for the first time but I hope someone sits down with Teo and tells him straight that he lost the fight and that he needs a different cornerman on fight night.

Teo was being told after every round that he’d won the round by his deluded dad so it’s no big surprise to hear him say he thought he was robbed.

If his dad had said to him at a few points in the fight that the commentators have him losing, it’s a close fight etc then it may have given Teo the fire he needed in the last couple of rounds.

117-108 ogawa for me, had them even after 4, but once the first kd happened fuzile became very gun shy and ineffective imo. sure he was posing on the back foot but was hardly throwing and when he did he was throwing 'scared' shots and missed plenty himself - was not seeing him outboxing ogawa or doing much countering of note. i thought ogawa kept stinging him throughout the fight and that fuzile looked terrified in there. tbh , i thought fuzile got beat up, even before the 12th happened

apart from the dodgy win against the proven great loma, lopez had one decent win and that was commey.
take away the loma win and what had lopez achieved that everyone was making him out to be great? he had fought 14 nobodies in sixteen fights. crawford and canelo are great fighters because they have proved it time and again against top fighters.. even at 22 lopez face was so busted up he looked like he had been in the game 40 years. a light punching kambosis left him looking like he had been run over by a truck....now that he will have to move up to 140 and fight guys his own size he will get pulverised. taylor wont fight him now cause lopez holds no cards...just as well since taylor would have destroyed him.
best fight out there will be lopez zepeda..which zepeda will win easily, finally wiping clean the stain that lopez and his shithead dad brought to top class boxing.
hope kambosis makes a lot of money now , but i dont think he beats haney or stevenson, who is probably the future of 135

Think we disagreed on the Farmer fight as well mate, are you an Ogawa fanboy Nah I know there wasn't much being landed by either man, it was a case of what you prefer from my view, I just thought Ogawa wasn't that effective and was surprised when I seen compubox number after about round 9 that Ogawa was so far ahead, that I just didn't see but I'll say compubox is a lot of shite unless it's backing my argument then I love a bit of compubox

But I agree that Fuzile fought a bit scared, no real belief that he could hurt Ogawa which was daft and cost him

Great fight, delighted for Kambosos he was brilliant what a warrior. I had it 114-112 like Chris Mannix scorecard.

Lopez seemed to arrogantly think he could walk through Kambosos and had no plan, even when he knocked George down he didn't got for the finish. Lopez had the worst corner advice I've heard from Lopez Sr.

The delusion and poor sportsmanship after from team Lopez after makes it more satisfying he lost and there is no rematch clause....

What a fcuking performance from Kambosos Jr, absolutely buzzing for the man, incredible contest to watch. Definitely up there for my fight of the year, engrossing viewing - launched out of my seat after that first round knockdown

Loved the left hand of Kambosos, stayed active on the jab and turned over into the left hook regularly to catch Lopez on the move, used Teo's aggression against him and fired the right hand through the middle nicely. Great chin too and his conditioning was clearly fantastic, the way he recovered from looking in trouble in R10 to come back and box Teo in 11 and 12 was top drawer.

The conduct of Lopez Jr and Snr after the fight was no surprise, zero class and quite frankly embarrassing.

Ogawa looked strong v Fuzile in the co-main, heart aplenty from the South African to hear the final bell but I thought the much more purposeful, clean work came from Ogawa, Fuzile is usually a very decent counter puncher through his backhand but thought his successes were few and far between this time out.
