But put it this way, it was the biggest bet I’d placed in the last five years. It was over-the-top... excessive.

It was an impulsive thing and I instantly regretted it! But fortunately for me, it came good.

I don’t think I’ll ever do that again though.

I don’t bet that often, usually small sums to make fights more excitingt to watch. But last night I was very nervous. And I haven’t got the guts to go through an ordeal like that again!

Ugas won the fight but I think that many are selling Manny’s effort short, and over stating the Cuban’s achievement.

Manny was competitive in that fight to the end and I think that anything more than 116-112 is too wide. Ugas lost rounds on inactivity and just getting out fought. He left the door open to a draw or gift decision for Manny when he should have put a more indelible stamp on the victory.

Make no mistake, it was a great win for Ugas, but until the decision was announced no one was certain of the outcome.

Yeah, that figures. IMHO, pac in his prime takes out Ugas, but at 42 and a long layoff expectations were a bit high for manny.

it was average for me, no real drama or big moments, not too much sustained action, no one hurt...and ugas won comfortably enough that the result was never in doubt barring a robbery..........but it did have enough to be considered an okay fight. some decent exchanges at the end of rounds. some rounds ugas only had a slight advantage and at times pac look liked he might be able to get over the hump and start coming on, but it just didnt happen

pac gave it a real go but at 42 just didnt have it in him anymore. ugas boxed well, though i think prime pac pretty much shuts him out.

The fight wasn't that entertaining indeed. A decent bout to watch it once, unless you're a big Ugas fan. Ugas boxed well, but Pac had almost nothing to suggest. If Pac was able to provide more effort, acknowledging who he is even despite the age, than the fight would go with expectations.

Anyone hear the story about the 42 year old with 7 losses who fought the 35 year old who had 4 losses?

I think it is also accurate to say that Manny's evolving excuse about his legs are bs too. There was nothing wrong with his legs. By the way, the outcome was accurate. Ironbeard = EO obviously.

You have no idea whether or not he was having issues with his legs. It does not matter. He lost legitimately.
