Not sold on Itauma myself, Whyte shot to bits and hasn't looked good for 5 years or more. I get a Herbie Hide vibe from Itauma but we'll see, and am happy to be proven wrong.
He’s quick, has respectable power, good shot selection, decent feet by the looks of it. But I agree, so many fighters look great early on until they meet someone who can put up some resistance - like someone else has already said on here, so far Moses has proven he’ll dispatch sub par opponents - That doesn’t mean he can maintain that up the levels.
Hopefully he can.

Hit him top of the head back of the head didn’t he?
Don’t blame him really. Whyte kept going low

Itauma loves those top/back of the head shots

Hide always seemed mentally fragile, like he just wanted to get in and get the guy KO’d as quickly as possible before an actual fight had chance to develop.
Itauma may well turn out to be lacking in durability when he steps up, but he seems a pretty strong character at this stage. I do think it’s imperative though that he faces some guaranteed resistance next time. Tonight was worse than almost anyone could have predicted.

i agree hrgovic would be a good next opponent for moses
this one was perfectly timed. i rate moses, he's exceptionally quick, but this one overflatters him a bit

Yes!
It's another to add to the Itauma highlight reel of back of the head stoppages

If Usyk isn’t fighting Parker then they need to elevate Parker and let him have a volantsry asap.
Ideal world Parker vs AJ
Undercard Moses vs Hrg. (Or wardly)
Winners fight.

If it becomes a thing he's consistently known for we should start calling him "Bunny" Itauma.
"Bunny" as in Rabbit Punch
I personally don't think he done anything wrong here though. You can't help it if your opponent ducks his head into your shot.

No, it's fine.
But after watching some highlight reels of Moses prior to this, it is his most common way of stoppage.

I'm a big fan of Wardley. I'll be honest. I don't want 'em throwing him in there with Itauma unless it's for the World Title and a Multi Million dollar payday. I like Wardley, and want them to match him in fights he can win. I don't think Itauma is one of 'em.
I think they'd be wise to match him in fights he can win too. He draws a crowd.

The Transnational Boxing Rankings Board currently has Hrgovic #6, and they have Efe Ajagba at 8, Wardley at 9 and Martin Bakole at 10.
Are we sure this doesn't put Itauma Top 10? Because I gotta tell ya. I'd put him over any of those bottom 3 with this win.
Even if the win was just a matter of good timing. What result do those guys have that could compare to it as far as why you'd rank them higher?

Wardly is a loss waiting to happen at any given levle but who knows he might keep finding the shot…
Wardly has the option of going the wba regular path, but as long as don king breaths that path will be busy with lawyers and bullshit… (without don king in the world I would say, hunter and pulev are ideal but I don’t want his career hinging on that…)
Wardly vs Moses for 7 figures with a contracted shot at the title if you win… that’s an acceptable alternative I think.

Actualy saw a better pick of hrgs cut and will take to long. Have Moses vs Franklin quick turn around then hrg once he is back..

Whyte had a little stumble walking to the ring. Reminder me of Povektin for the Whyte rematch. I knew it was all over early doors at that point.

I wonder what Nike are paying him. the simple black shorts white tick is fvcking glorious branding... no messy noise of mishmashed sponcers, just timeless perfection...

if it turns out Mo has a chin he's pretty much unstoppable.
the top/back of the head punch is the way to go. so many winning this way without a penalty.

They paid the money and they got what they wanted , a name that was gonna be easy , A shot fighter who spent more time conplaining to the ref after than he did throwing punches , a name who can sell a fight and a name who was never going to be a problem .
So who next , for me it would be sensible to go after Herovig after all dispite his much applauded power he hit Adelye at will and he was still stood there and fought back , basicly he could'nt punch the stuffing out of a stood still punchbag , dispite his much applauded chin , he still got hit with a few left hooks that were telegraphed from a mile away and did actualy get rocked , I somehow do not think Moses will have a lot of problems with him , he will get some rnds he needs but its a ko for sure .
Doubt very very much if there gonna be willing to give Parker a go , Parkers not finished and slow , he has some power and a good chi plus experience , Naaw they will stay well away from Parker , however if for some strange reason it comes across , then you do have to give Moses a chance physicly , he moves well hits hard , but there would be another factor in that fight TACTICS and here is where it wouild fall down , Davidson in a proper fight would go back to normal and panic , Lee would do what Lee does great advice and great corner work ,
Nope it was all sorted in the fact Adelya and Hirovig were on the card , winner fights Moses , Frank is the leading heavyweight promoter and its obvious he wants the undisputed champ , Moses will still be kept under wraps for now until Usyk gives it away or gets older and slower than Whyte ,,
Its just history repeating itself , the master fiddler is playing the crowds , and still pretending he's not , Parker and Kayabel are to be frozen out

20 quid as a ppv for that! That was embarrassing. I'd have watched it on normal dazn but wasn't paying extra for that dross.
