I'm logical.

You don't punch a guy in the face, and then ask to talk it out with him. You don't declare Holy War on Muslims, and then give them power over your Country. In this case he was already in the position of power before this sudden declaration of Holy War, but nevertheless the point remains he should've never been in that position because our conflicts with the Middle East have been ongoing for decades. Especially in this century.

See this is where I disagree. We should've never attacked Iran in the first place. It was a stupid move, and one we'll pay for for decades with Hundreds of Thousands if not Millions of Lives lost.

I don't think the war in Iran was necessary. I think Trump is a complete fool with no concept or concern about the damage he causes.

However the idea that we can be at war with Muslims, and also totally cool and comfortable with the ones that are over here in our countries is ludicrous though.

Why are we so damn beholden to Israel and Saudi Arabia. Israel provided non-lethal aid to Al-Qaeda during the Syrian Civil War, while Saudi Arabia continues to radicalize Sunni populations in the West.

I think you're wrong, Mamdhani (or however you spell his name) is not going to start collaborating with Al Qaida cells - he is going to use his platform to campaign. All his friends and family are in the US, as is his entire life - the idea that he's suddenly going align with radical islamists is just hysterical and daft.

I do however agree, that igniting a holy war against Islam is a bad idea, though I don't see how this is possible, unless the US is going to suddenly turn on it's middle eastern allies.

The saudis hate the Iranians, because they see them as a competing muslim hedgemon, and they are the wrong type of muslims to boot.

It is far more likely that the gulf states all attack Iran in conjunction with the west, because their leaders care only about one thing - money. Religion is for the little guys, not for them.

The biggest risk as I see it, is that because of Israel's growing land grabbing and exertion of power, lots of people in the muslim world will become disaffected, and we end up with revolution in some of the gulf states, and in egypt.

Unfortunately, the end of timers would probably revel in this, as they would then see an opportunity to go to war with all the muslim states that became radicalised.

Whatever happens, we have an unholy mess on our hands, if you will pardon the pun.

Wait until they start sending in American ground troops and Private Faruq Saheed bombs his whole platoon while they sleep because we're stupid enough to have them in our military too.

Where do you think a Muslim soldiers loyalty goes? To his Army Buddies or to his God?

Especially when he's listening to his Army Buddies thoughts about how they're gonna kill his God.

Don't bring Religion into war because it becomes that much more personal and unforgivable for people to lose to you.
