Please don't get me wrong 'Dawg, I appreciate the time you put into compiling the list, and I appreciate the fact that every body's lists are subjective and am in no means ragging your list. I've got to ask though, how so is Billy Dib above Lovemore Ndou? I've actually got to question how Dib is above Rabah and Meehan as well, but above Lovemore? How so?

1. Darchinyan (still #1 but not as clearly as he used to be)
2. Katsidis (a win over Marquez would make him #1 IMO)
3. Green (could move up or down depending on Flores fight)
4. Geale (Karmazin win elevates him over Mundine
5. Mundine (poor quality of opposition has seen him slide)
6. Lovemore N'Dou (activity and quality of opposition sees him high)
7. Leonardo Zappavigna (needs another strong win to make top 5)
8. Sakio Bika (would be higher if not for DQ and inactivity)
9. Wale Omotoso (needs to step it up to climb higher)
10. Billy Zib (yet to impress at the top level, but still a contender)

Mate I'm sorry opinions will vary, i don't really think Ndou belongs in the top 10 atm and i think his ass will get handed to him by Omotoso by KO. Butttt to keep the peace, his name in an Australian P4P list looks far more impressive than some of the hard working fighters like Vea,Bolling and Leapai who are younger, hungrier and have more of a chance of beating a top flight fighter, but he still makes my list.....by his past accomplishments, the same as Mundine.

Who's Ndou beaten since Rabah? Ndou, or the untested prospect, he couldn't even beat the shitter version of a Hatton, who's not even the toughest bloke on his street let alone England, so I don't see why the shock.

Dib is hungry, he has talent, surely you can look past the fact that his talents far exceed his other special talent of biting on a pillow?

But thats why this exists, whats your top 10 list DBerry, your seasoned in this forum and your opinion is respected whats your top 10 mate, it only adds to this forum that is becoming a ghost town......other sports is flying mate, the Australian forum is farked and needs help.

Whats your top 10

Yeah, I know differences of opinion differ 'Dawg, and I appreciate yours mate. Thanks for answering my question and providing an explanation for it, I can see what your saying and respect your opinion, although I don't necessarily agree with you.
You've called me out on my top ten, trying to think of one is hard work and I know I'm going to, rightfully so, have to be accountable for my choices so here goes.
#1 Danny Green
#2 Micheal Katsidis
#3 Vic Darchinyan
#4 Lovemore Ndou
#5 Sakio Bika
#6 Danial Geale
#7 Kali Meehan
#8 Anthony Mundine
#9 Sam Soliman
Tied for tenth spot
#10 Wale Omotoso
#10 Lenny Zappavigna
OK 'Dawg 'ol buddy, I now have an appreciation of how hard this is, to publicly post a top ten of Aussie boxing. I've got to say it was hard to decide the placement of the top three spots, it was hard to place Sakio Bika below Lovemore Ndouor add Mundine to any top ten or add Sammy yet place him below Kali Mehan or justify to my self Soliman below Mundine because of the three (two?) losses to him yet place Green higher despite his loss to Mundine or, or AHHHHHHGGGHHH :witzend:

1. Darchinyan, (35-3) still way out ahead imo, what a little trooper
2. Katsidis, (27-3)NEEDS a win against guerrero, not to confident though but hope he can
3. Geale,(24-1) one of the most skilled boxres we have produced in a long time. hope he beats sylvester and gets a crack at martinez
4. Green,(31-3) clinging on here imo, needs a good win to stay relavent
5. Zappavinga, (25-1)needs apermanant move to the states, no point hanging round here
6. Billy Dib,(35-1) pains me to rate him this high as i dont like hima whole lot, but the talent is pretty thin atm
7. Tomlinson,(15-0) hope he manages he's career better than some of our other recent prospects
8. N'dou,(48-12) still gives anyone from 140-147 a hard nights work, champ
9. Wood,(10-1) intrested to see were he goes should he beat mundine again
10 Mundine,(40-4) still here, wont count him out just yet, though he appears to be shot to shit.
11. Soliman, (39-11)like N'dou, an elder statesmen who can hold his ground with the best
HM'S Rabah (has had attrocious opponents of late, needs to step up) Meehan, Wills, Omotoso, Bika

good on you for putting that out there mate. I think the most worrying (but truthful) remark was this one, "the talent is pretty thin atm"

I haven't put Meehan in previously however after thining about it he is at least overseas fighting and the win over TOS is one of the best by an Aussie for a while...
no mundine again marlin? hey i think he's a choad too, but atm as sad as it is, he's argubally the best we got
Do you still think so? Wood sort of wiped him. :box:

over the next 1-2 years green, darchinyan, soliman, ndou, mundine, meehan and maybe even katsidis are more than likely going to retire. Imagine how thin it will look then

Nah put him down in tenth this time round. Wood v mundine 2 is probably the most curious ive been about one of Anthonys fights in a long time

1. Vic Darchinyan
2. Michael Katsidis - A loss to Guerro means a drop to #4, a win means a rise to #1.
3. Danny Green
4. Daniel Geale - will surpass Green and if he beats Sylvester, which I expect him to.
5. Leonardo Zappavigna
6. Billy Dib
7. Garth Wood
8. Anthony Mundine - a rematch win over Wood puts him up to #7.
9. Lovemore Ndou
10 = Sakio Bika, Wale Omotoso

1, Geale (purely because of the talent he has, and wins against Mundine  ,Dawson,Karmazin and Thatwin in Germany)
2, Darchinyan
3, Green ( my favorite fighter still, needs a win over another notable Cruiser to climb higher)
4, Katsidis ( needs a win)
5, Bika ( needs a win badly will disappear soon, if another win besides his last win of note in 08 against Manfredo isn't surpassed)
6, Mundine ( no significant wins this year will see Mundine disappear from my list)
7, Zappavigna ( needs another win of note soon)
8, Dibb ( It pains me to say, but his new style is very exciting to watch and has knocked everyone out in his last 7)
9, Leapai ( first time making my list, but honestly deserves it as 1 of hottest prospects on the rise, and an ol footy mate of mine)
10, Omotoso ( needs a win against Rabah, Ndou or someone to keep his spot, was a fast riser after Augustus, but nothing since...Talented)

Talent thin! WTF, i could have 10 reserves here and arguments would be validated from anyones standpoint in the variation of that list.

HM ;Soliman, Tomlinson,Pitt, Vea,Ndou,Rabah,Meehan,Brunker,Asiku,Wood,Medley,Taliepau,Sherington,Wills,Egberime,Forsyth,Fletcher,Broadhurst, and there will be more to come.....Australian boxing is the best it's looked in years, and with the cards these clever promoters are putting together it will only increase the sports chances of making it back to a tier 1 sport in OZ.

the big problem is that alot of our elite fighters are old and will retire over the coming two years or so
