Former WBO heavyweight champion and current cruiserweight contender Herbie Hide has commented on allegations from Sport Network that he agreed to fight Enzo Maccarinelli in London tomorrow, but then disappeared. "Warren and Maccarinelli have told everybody I would be running away from them – that’s just not true! I'm here and ready to go," states Hide. "In fact, allegedly allegedly knew all the time where I was. I have been in court with him because he still owes me money. Fact is that they offered me the fight only if I dropped the court case in return. I always said that I would take the fight as long as it doesn’t affect any legal issues I have to solve with Warren." Hide and Warren met in court on Wednesday. "I told Warren, the BBBoC and my promoter Ahmet Öner that I would take on Maccarinelli whenever he wants. It’s too bad that they already found some nameless tomato can for tomorrow.....as far as the 'Big Mac' is concerned, I will enjoy eating him alive! I heard Maccarinelli said I was the one guy in boxing he didn’t like. Well, guess what, Enzo, when we meet in the ring I will be the one guy who really tears you apart. If you think David Haye can punch just wait until you feel the power of the 'Dancing Destroyer.' I will wipe the canvas with your a** wherever and whenever you want."

Allegedly Allegedly!

From reports i've seen, Herbie is certainly claiming his refusal to fight is down to money owed from his FW days, and not because he don't wanna fight

Not if he weighed in above the cruiserweight limit and not if he is not fighting for the Vacant WBO title.

I hope he gets stopped but I feel sorry for the lad.

He weighed in under the limit, and it is not his fault an opponent wasn't found, contracts. are there to protect the fighter
I was supposed to fight Paul Halpin once, top of the bill on a small show in Brighton, he failed his pre fight medical, I was gloved up at the time!
Nevertheless I was paid in full, even though a lot of the crowd left as he was the main ticket seller

I guess that it would depend on the agreement signed between Enzo's manager and the promoter.

So it probably depends if his manager allegedly put in a clause in his contract with promoter allegedly that Enzo would get full pay if the WBO title fight didn't go ahead

Under the limit? I suppose he would seeing as he is not exactly a big cruiser.

Glad you got paid - but your promoter/manager was not Fwank da Wank!

Is that all you can resort to is insults? I got a prediction wrong on this fight like a lot of people but there you go again with your unsavory comments. You mock everyone in hindsight but where was your original prediction before the bout took place?

Just watching Enzo V Ellis- seems remarkable , truely remarkable, that he was originally going to be in against someone as good as Banks.
