Wow, I had heard peters saying that it was likely that they may go to Vegas should he win but thought that may be down the line.
I think this may be a disastrous move on more fronts than one if he were to fight Israel he would almost certainly lose. Also how well would the fight sell ? Do the Americans know much about Dunne?
I dont think to many would travel from Ireland.
He could be forgiven for taking an easy defense against Munroe in Dublin and that would create a lot of interest. Its all coming only days after the fight, im sure things will become clear after a while.

yea but peters seems to be set on going to vegas dunne had 14 fights in america and was on espn 3 or 4 times plus he's white and irish and we all know americans love that they obviusly think they have some chance and i know that id definitely be going if it happens but its all up in the air still he keeps on mentioning vegas though.

I like Rendall, but I can't see Rendall beating Dunne. Perhaps Peters should try to get a Martinez fight somewhere down the road - it's always nice when fighters avenge their loses.

dunne has sparred with vazquez numerous times so he would know what to expect , vazquez wont have much left in the tank after all them wars , belive me if dunne fights vazquez it wouldnt be as straighforward as most people think , i think it could be made about 1 year down the line after a few defences of his belt

IMO it's not as far fetched as it would have sounded a week ago. Vazquez wants to cash in. He's gone way beyond the call of duty to earn his crust - trilogy with Marquez (busted nose, detached retina, plenty of stitches), long hard fight with Jhonny Gonzalez. Many, many hard fights before that, also.

Vazquez was thinking of fighting several "novelty" contests - much smaller Arce & Darchinyan, older Barrera, etc. here has to be a different way to make money. He might (perhaps mistakenly) see Dunne as a softer option, you never know. At the right time, in the right place, anyone can lose, even if Vazquez is a future hall of famer and current pound for pounder.

Dunne definitely has some marketability and ppl are still talking about him. I think some heavy hitters will be looking to fight him.

IMOo the timing could be wrong. Dunne may need to grow into his title and Vazquez might be looking for a reason to move up to feather, as weight making won't be getting easier.

Can you give me one valid reason why you think Munroe would beat Dunne? Without the whole illogical Kiko Martinez factor. I have pointed out many times that Munroe beating the one dimensional Martinez proves absolutely nothing. Martinez is a big puncher but that is all. Show me an example where Munroe beat someone with the technical ability that Dunne possesses. Can you do that Frank? Dunne has more power than Munroe, he proved that by putting down Cordoba 4 times, Cordoba has NEVER been KO'd and he has fought Caballero!

About time, Dunne would have Rendall in Beaumount by the end of the night and the KO was the best thing to happen to Dunne's career because he is a much better fighter maybe Rendall should experience one because he ain't going to be a World Champ and won't be European champ for long because he isn't going to beat Maludrottu and Monshipour.

It was back in 2004 that Cordoba beat Caballero. I wouldn't put too much faith in that result to rate the fighters as they currently are. Caballero broke Molitor down very quickly, and Molitor is a very good boxer. I'd be very, very surprised if Dunne beat Caballero. It would be a massive upset in my mind.

It's not that hard to imagine. Look at his #1 in the rankings Poonsawat. He's fought a low level of competition and is 4 inches shorter than Dunne, I could see Dunne beating him. Then Munroe is at #4, he could beat him. Then if they somehow managed to get a fight against McCullough approved, Dunne would be a strong favourite.
