Wow, I had heard peters saying that it was likely that they may go to Vegas should he win but thought that may be down the line.masy83 wrote:heres something to discuss forget about munroe vazquez in vegas instead

NO I WAS ON A PLANE AND RENDELL WAS JUST HAPPY TO SEE A GUY WHO GOT KO AT EUROPEAN LEVEL AND JUST SCRAPED HOME IN A DO OR DIE FIGHT. PLEASE LET ME TELL YOU THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE WINNER IF DUNNE AND RENDELL MEETsligobhoy67 wrote:+1ApolloCreed wrote:Now that Dunne has taken a belt - the hard way I might add - why the hell should he hand Munroe and his manager a pay day after Maloney's antics?
When Dunne was crying out for the Munroe fight for a chance to resurrect his career (and offering ridiculous money, too), Maloney pilloried and mocked him in the press.
Now, all has changed utterly. Munroe/Maloney bottled it, Dunne grabbed his chance at the big time and the boot is on the other foot.
I expect Dunne/Peters won't be doing Munroe/Maloney too many favours in the immediate future. I see a couple of handy defences and then a push towards Cabalerro.
Hard luck boys - good luck making money with your poxy fan base while WBA champ Bernard Dunne, who just sold out a 10,000 seater arena, rakes it in!
Maloney say a boat sailing away from him on Saturday night.
I was sitting near Rendall and he looked sick as a dog - he knew what was happening!
We did not try they can do that them selfs, Let see how long they keep there title.sligobhoy67 wrote:Maloney/Murnoe tried to make Peters/Dunne look stupid over the past few months - they were ready to go into Itoldyaso gloat mode if the ref stopped the fight in the fifth - I cant see why Peters should do them any favours now - Murnoe has been well and truely gazumped.
Like I have said, a fight with Kiko Martinez make the most sense.
If that's not just talk then Dunne's reign will be short lived, imo.masy83 wrote:heres something to discuss forget about munroe vazquez in vegas instead

I think this may be a disastrous move on more fronts than one if he were to fight Israel he would almost certainly lose. Also how well would the fight sell ? Do the Americans know much about Dunne?
I dont think to many would travel from Ireland.
He could be forgiven for taking an easy defense against Munroe in Dublin and that would create a lot of interest. Its all coming only days after the fight, im sure things will become clear after a while.
Sssshhh Frank! they made themselves look stupid by walking away with a WBA strap?FtmPress wrote:We did not try they can do that them selfs, Let see how long they keep there title.sligobhoy67 wrote:Maloney/Murnoe tried to make Peters/Dunne look stupid over the past few months - they were ready to go into Itoldyaso gloat mode if the ref stopped the fight in the fifth - I cant see why Peters should do them any favours now - Murnoe has been well and truely gazumped.

Shoudn't that be 'seriously'?
As soon as this hysteria dies down you and the other 2 will be gone.
Can you give me one valid reason why you think Munroe would beat Dunne? Without the whole illogical Kiko Martinez factor. I have pointed out many times that Munroe beating the one dimensional Martinez proves absolutely nothing. Martinez is a big puncher but that is all. Show me an example where Munroe beat someone with the technical ability that Dunne possesses. Can you do that Frank? Dunne has more power than Munroe, he proved that by putting down Cordoba 4 times, Cordoba has NEVER been KO'd and he has fought Caballero!FtmPress wrote:We did not try they can do that them selfs, Let see how long they keep there title.sligobhoy67 wrote:Maloney/Murnoe tried to make Peters/Dunne look stupid over the past few months - they were ready to go into Itoldyaso gloat mode if the ref stopped the fight in the fifth - I cant see why Peters should do them any favours now - Murnoe has been well and truely gazumped.

You've finally realised that Rendall hasn't a hope then?FtmPress wrote: PLEASE LET ME TELL YOU THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE WINNER IF DUNNE AND RENDELL MEET
Cordoba beat callebro now i know that does not mean much but it is something to go by ive never seen callebro. Was he impressive against molitor? I think molitor was favorite going into that fight. Ive heard hes quite big a the weight and is tall also. Callebro has called dunne out saying "i want to gain revenge for cordoba"Asterix wrote:Dunne would most likely lose to Caballero so I think he should milk the title for a while and make some good money from it.Dioufy wrote:Go for Caballerro and become a proper world champion. About time, Dunne would have Rendall in Beaumount by the end of the night and the KO was the best thing to happen to Dunne's career because he is a much better fighter maybe Rendall should experience one because he ain't going to be a World Champ and won't be European champ for long because he isn't going to beat Maludrottu and Monshipour.hitman09 wrote:You've finally realised that Rendall hasn't a hope then?FtmPress wrote: NO I WAS ON A PLANE AND RENDELL WAS JUST HAPPY TO SEE A GUY WHO GOT KO AT EUROPEAN LEVEL AND JUST SCRAPED HOME IN A DO OR DIE FIGHT. It was back in 2004 that Cordoba beat Caballero. I wouldn't put too much faith in that result to rate the fighters as they currently are. Caballero broke Molitor down very quickly, and Molitor is a very good boxer. I'd be very, very surprised if Dunne beat Caballero. It would be a massive upset in my mind.metropol wrote:Cordoba beat callebro now i know that does not mean much but it is something to go by ive never seen callebro. Was he impressive against molitor? Do you know what, Banjo.banjo wrote:Gibbs, you get worse by the day.
It's not that hard to imagine. Look at his #1 in the rankings Poonsawat. He's fought a low level of competition and is 4 inches shorter than Dunne, I could see Dunne beating him. Then Munroe is at #4, he could beat him. Then if they somehow managed to get a fight against McCullough approved, Dunne would be a strong favourite.Hagler2002 wrote:If any Irish nuthugger would like to wager 1k on Dunne making 2 successful defenses of the title he won on Saturday please send me a PM.
