A lumping bet this weekend seems to be:
Beltran 8/15
Skeete 1/20
Buglioni 1/12
Chambers 1/6
Fury 1/25
Lee 1/33
Monaghan 1/25
1.27/1

Usmanee's stepped in on short notice, so I'd say Buglioni is most likely to lose, Khomitsky has given a few good fighters some problems.

Usmanee is a real handful and very very under-rated. Wonder if he had something in the pipe line before he stepped in...if he did that could be very interesting.

I wouldn't like to bet against him, short notice or not.

Mckenzie is 3/1 on coral that's very good odds.

OK I may be losing my objectivity after recent successes... but I put a
small bet on each of Khometsy (at 9-1; though now 11-2), Pala over Price at 20-1 (now 11-1) and a double Pac Pts/Maywether Pts (3-1- a medium bet).
I would say Ovill is worth a bet but cant find a price on the KO

Absolutely nothing taking my fancy again this week. Doing well enough on the year and I'm dying for a decent bet but just nothing out there. David Price inside 4 is 1/2 and that looks fair enough I suppose as I expect the big fella to sweep Pala aside with ease. On the foreign cards Vasquez, Vargas and Usmanee are all underdogs in what I think are 50/50 fights so might chuck a tiny bit on an accumulator just to keep me interested.

Romford hope Tony Conquest defends his Commonwealth cruiserweight title in a risky match with the fearless Ovill McKenzie at the Copper Box Arena in London tonight.
Conquest has bounced back remarkably well from a shock first-round defeat - his only defeat - to the useful Neil Dawson in 2012 and he picked up the vacant Commonwealth belt last time out with a hard-earned but unanimous 12-round decision over decent Aussie southpaw Daniel Ammann at York Hall.
Technically sound with good strength and fitness, Conquest will need all his tools against the dangerous McKenzie, a heavy handed fellow from Derby who in 11 lively years as a pro has twice held the Commonwealth title a weight down.
That speaks for itself. McKenzie is more light-heavyweight than cruiserweight, although he has boxed at cruiser in the past, and takes this 12-rounder very late on. Nevertheless, McKenzie poses a real threat to anyone domestically, particularly in the early rounds, and Conquest, for all his good looks, is there to be hit at times.
If the champion gets through the early rounds he boxes his way to an eventful points win.

Strange to have backed a person I think will lose but have had to back Mckenzie Rounds 1,2 and 3 against Conquest with PP 55,50,40, just seem way to big
There are 18s about for those three which is the right call as you cant go too low obviously or it will mess up what you do for the other rounds but they are just too big
Sometimes you just have to give the bookie your money when you think it will probably lose because the prices make you, however sometimes it just comes back.
My most famous two like this were Rahman/Lewis 1 , I backed Hasim in rounds 1-6 all at 100 even though I thought Lennox would win and indeed desperately wanted him to, just thought the prices were crazy what with Lennox playing his role in Oceans 11 etc. Also backed Sanders against Wlad at 125/1 rounds 1,2 and 3.
Only had a fiver on each of the rounds but it was tidy pick up, there have been many times the prices have been wrong since and had the odd little tickle but thought I would try my luck tonight
Fancy Conquest 2nd half of the fight around 8-10, but although would not have backed McKenzie rounds at 20s as that would be reasonable this seems big.

Do you khomitsky getting a stoppage or outworking Buglioni and nicking the points???

Good post. So often people forget betting is about finding value. Crucially this doesn't necessarily mean you're backing the result you think will happen but rather the result that has a better chance of happening than the bookies are giving it.

Totally agree. I often spend time trying to explain this to people and often draw a blank. It drives me crazy!! Also people need to remember the long game rather than the quick win. I probably 'lose' as many individual bets as I win annually; but always make a profit as I bet on value.
I also can't stand it when people say 'the bookies never get it wrong'. Well if that was the case all you would have to do is bet on the favourite every time. What bookies are good at (generally) is pricing up a result with realistic odds that reflect the probability of something happening. And remember in a two horse race, bookies generally have a 13% spread between one of the other. This is why they win; because statistically every market is in their favour.
BUT they occasionally mis price by a smallish margin a market. And that's when. You jump on it!
(Phew!)

Thats my thinking have rounds 2 and 3 and 4 as well but round 1 would net me 2.5k so its a bit of fun with a definite upside if it comes off as I said in the post sometimes you have to do it because of the price.
