hopefully there's no rematch clause and we'll hear no more of it after this weekend.

we need the best referee, unbiased judges, taut + high top ropes, no headbutts, no low blows, no heavy costumes for the ring walk, lots of water for Eubank, drug test for Benn, non-slippy canvas, boxers taking knees to avoid ref waving it off, no crucifix kissing between rounds and no excess hugging. have i forgotten anything here?

 pretty conclusive I'd say .
Snr could upset the applecart and rock up though and cause a kerfuffle.

It’s a 2-fight deal.

A 'big' fight like this and no Eubank SR in a big fur coat, monocle and jodphers isn't conceivable. He will be there to get some limelight and in WWE fashion if Jr wins, he will climb into the ring and kneel before his sone asking for forgiveness. Then tell the stadium how fantastic his son is, and a chip off the old block.

I guess you can never say 100% about anything Sr does or says, but he is firm on this fight and calls it what it is.

Three days out from the weigh-in and Chris already looks ill, weak and old. The gulf in class and experience may get him through but I think he's well and truly done at any level above gimmick. He should be a 175lb fighter these days.

He’s been making 160 pretty comfortably his last few fights.

I disagree. I think he's been weak at the weight since he went back to it in 2019 and it's taking its toll even more so as he ages.

I can’t really tell from that face off, but I hope he doesn’t look anything like that disturbing picture here from 2022… My God.

I think he’s allowed to go to 170 on fight night this time…

He’s got to officially weigh 160 and then weigh 170 on the morning of the fight so could be 175/180+ at the time of the fight.

Anyone know what time the 170lb weigh in is?

I haven’t seen anything on that but i feel it is theee critical detail.

I see, not sure how that’s gonna pan out. Not surprised his dad is pissed off at this, as it does seem a reckless risk..just have to hope Benn is a paper dragon as most people think - cause you don’t want to be messing with a motivated hard puncher in such a weakened state, at a relatively advanced boxing age.

Benn’s probably just a gimmick who’s gonna get found out quickly, i hope. They could’ve used the original tagline here, Who’s fooling who?

I don’t like rehydration clauses but, as they go, this isn’t too bad compared to some (like the original Benn/Eubank fight date where it was 157/165 or say the Tank/Garcia fight).

It’s the same as the old IBF rehydration limit rule for middleweight.

I think Snr would complain about anything to do with Jnr at the moment. He doesn’t seem to be in a good place. Jnr has fought at 160 in recent years so it’s not like he’s coming down to a weight he’s not used to. Snr also talks about the risk of Benn going up divisions and references Brook/Golovkin. Yet didn’t mention him ending his career as a cruiserweight going up 2 divisions from super middleweight skipping light heavyweight to fight Carl Thompson.

I think Eubank Jr was head and shoulders above the level Conor is or will ever be but unlike most I wouldn't be at all surprised if Conor writes this version of Chris off. If that happens, it won't be a shock, or a great victory or any of the rhetoric we will hear, it will be an aging fighter who is fighting, and has been fighting, at a weight that is too low for him to be strong and virile - this will be the worst ever version of Chris Eubank Jr in terms of his raw physicality. Anybody who thinks Conor will not be the fittest, strongest, fastest, most powerful version of himself ever for this fight is deluded - he will be far, far more explosive than he was in those two fights in the USA.

Final Prediction: This should be easy work for Chris, I understand why almost everybody is picking him, but I'm going with a tide and time prediction. Conor Benn will stop Chris Eubank. Chris will be weak, off the pace and get his clock cleaned. Hope I am well wrong.

total purse is believed to be £18 million

Eubank taking 55% = £9.9m

https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/chris- ... sTI6iFCqD4

Speaking in a press conference during their media tour earlier this year, Eubank Jr. revealed his shock at the purse he was able to negotiate.

"Many of you would have heard Eddie boasting about a 60-40 split he secured for Conor," he said.

"That's just an absolute lie, which is not surprising. The truth of it is, Uncle Turki flew in and saved the day like the superhero he is.

"This is the Saudi show, he called me and said, "What do you want to make this fight?'"

The 35-year-old asked for a 'diabolical' number, which he received. He added: "I'm sitting there thinking, 'I've got to be a businessman now', and any good businessman in any negotiation, starts with an aggressively high number, then there are counter offers and negotiating and you get to the number.

"I gave him a diabolical number, I gave him an inconceivable number, and he said, 'Done, I'll send you the contract on Monday'. I'm thinking I could have got more, or a couple of watches out of him!

"There is no split, there are no percentages, you lied to the public in front of everybody and now I'm setting this straight."

Both of these guys have been given chances based on their bloodline. The money Chris Jr has made for a guy who was embarassed by Groves... He got a rematch with Smith because of his name only.

Benn's story is there for all to see.

I still lilke them both and expect a great fight. Really looking forward to it.

I agree, I think this is hugely important, they portrayed it as the morning of the fight. In which case surely Eddie makes that 1159 for maximum benefit to Benn. Heard Hearn say yesterday he thought Eubank would be about 175 in the ring to Benn being around 168. Surely they can’t make the 170 any later than Noon as he will need to be taking on fluids etc but Hearns 175 comment makes me wonder if the cut off is later and the fact no one is mentioning a time for this is strange.
