Nice job Randy on the induction video pt. 1 posted. As you went around the room, I enjoyed seeing the celebrity guests who's faces you panned on, simply marvelous.

Rick and Tom- I must say both of you gentlemen exude dignity and gratiousness that make your speeches memorable. Tom, I'm sure Sean and Pat OGrady (he's watching over us all) would be especially proud of your representation.
Rick-I dont know, but with that big Hollywood grin, Tinseltown could sure use you in front of the camera, not behind the lights. :OhYes:

Thanks Chuck. I have never heard of "San Antonio Township"

:TU: It was great having Roger and several of our CAWCB team together. Dan, Brian, Bruce, Bennie, Paul, Charlie & Panzarfaust, I wish you could have joined us. It wasn't until I left I realized that I hadn't gotten around the room to visit as I usually do. It was great meeting Tom Ray, who gave a great talk on behalf of Sean O'Grady. As I mentioned once before, the CBHOF event has a warmth that you will not find at other boxing events. It really has the feeling of a big family.
I'll get there some day guys, been a busy beginning of summer, my youngest daughter graduated from high school and so we've been caught up in that, for now i will live through this great thread, with all of the great pictures from all of you great guys. I was glad to see Roger was there, i hope he starts posting again.
Rick, congratulations buddy, you deserve it.

I remember he had a boxing brother, Lawrence, who wasn't as good but just as tough.

I wanted to thank everybody for the hospitality shown to me at the CBHOF banquet. It was great to see Frank, Rick, Randy, and Roger in person, and to meet the lovely Connie and the rest of Frank's family, Randy's friend Ed, and Rick's beautiful wife (and new US citizen!) Monica. It was great fun for me to be there and see all the Southern California boxing greats I have read about and seen on tape throughout the years! Rick, congratulations again on your induction into the CBHOF. Seeing you get that honor made the trip ever more enjoyable for me.

I feel like a part of the Southern California boxing fraternity now especially since, as I was leaving, Bobby Chacon gave me the finger!

I didn't tell you Frank that, right before I headed over to the banquet, I got a pretty bad nose bleed. I couldn't figure out why my nose would bleed because I've been off the blood thinners for about two months. Then it occurred to me: I had been thinking all morning about all the great fighters I was going to meet and, being the lousy fighter that I was, my nose just started bleeding out of habit!!

No. This was a time when my height paid off. On a couple of occasions, Bobby acted like he was going to try and kiss me, but I think my height dissuaded him.

For months now i have been hazzling public libraries and archives in Oslo, Norway.
This last saturday the fruits of my labour finally came in the mail. A two minute clip of Pete Sanstøl and Panama Al Brown sparring their respective sparring partners before their match in oslo in 1935 :box: The quality was EXCELLENT!!!!

Cow, an Ant and an Old Fart

A Cow, an Ant and an Old Fart are debating on who is the greatest of the three of them.

The Cow: I give 50 litres of milk every day and that's why I am the greatest!!

The Ant: I work day and night, summer and winter, I can carry 52 times my own weight and that's why I am the greatest!!

Why are you scrolling down? It's your turn to say something . . .

Tom is a BIG guy. I would fit in his pocket.
  My wife's four-year-old great nephew and I were having lunch together one day, and I asked him his favorite Bible stories. While he was pondering his answer, I suggested . . ."Maybe the story of David and Goliath?" When I said that, his eyes got big and he looked at me, slowly saying, "Uncle Tom . . . are YOU a GIANT?"

I introduced Bobby to friends several times on Saturday. I got nailed each time I'd intoduce somebody to him.
I wish he'd just give me the finger.
