30 days for Bisping but it's in a different country so it doesn't have to be enforced.

If Bisping don't retire this year he's only got a few fights left in him at best

Rumours of Nate Diaz vs Woodley for the WW championship at 219. I guess they gotta make Nate look like he's not a LW.

Woodley would take Nate down repeatedly.

Sounding like Woodley v Diaz for 219 then.
Is it just UFC chancing that Diaz could get the belt then the 3rd McGregor fight gives Conor the chance to be 3 weight champ ??
That being said it seems the consensus is that Woodley would be way too much for Diaz anyway

Werdum attacked Covington today for his comments about Brazil. On one hand he shouldn't have said those things, on the others hand Brazilians shouldn't be so hostile towards non Brazilians for the crime of competing against a Brazilian.
As usual only the secondary action is condemned though and no one from the UFC has come out yet and condemned the fans for their behaviour. Instead they call the fans passionate etc and act like its a good reason to be a pudendum and spit, assault, throw things and threaten foreign fighters.

This isn't the first time the UFC has offered Diaz a title shot since his WW win over McGregor. They're clearly trying to make Diaz look like he is a legit WW and not a LW.

The plot thickens. The original footage shows Wedrum throwing a boomerang at Covington. It turns out that a security video shows Werdum punching him. Covington has pressed charges and the police have the evidence.

Most complete performance over 5 rounds that I've seen in the heavyweight division in the UFC. Tybura is no mug but Werdum was better in every way.
Fancy Werdum to win the title next year.

I thought Tybura was pretty poor... low work rate, average cardio, no combinations, no real diversity in his approach, alot of headhunting.... in the first 4 rounds the only success he really had was that stomping kick to the knee, which i personally dislike and think is a dangerous technique... it wasnt until the last round he started some head kicks which proved a bit more effective. Was a good performance by Werdum, but i dont think he was stretched by any margin.
Earlier i thought Matthews was lucky to get the win. His old man seems more inclined to just bark at his kid than to actually impart any practical advice in his corner. Reminds me of those obsessive football dads, living their dreams through their sons.

I detest that front knee kick.

Me too. I dont particularly want to see fighters restricted but thst technique should be banned.

It’s just nasty. Jon Jones loves it. I always feel fighters are clutching at straws when they repeatedly go for that kick.

Ive wondered what attitudes within the mma community are towrds it, as there was atleast 20 years of mainstream mma before i saw it filter through into competition. Id hate to see a career ruined before something is done.

I know a couple of mma fighters, one who had a UFC contract. They all hate it. It should be banned from competition imo.

That's the main reason I hate Jones.

legitimately the worst legal technique in MMA. It is normally used to make up for short comings in striking IMO. I don't know why when they tweaked the rules they didn't outlaw it and make 12-6 elbows legal.

Anyone watching tuf? How the hell does it go to a third round and two judges have it 30-27?

Fairplay to bisping for stepping in there such a short while after facing GSP

Kelvin hasn't earned a shot at the title yet, he just lost to Weidman one fight ago FFS. He needs at least one more win before a title shot either Rockhold or Romero.
Whittaker shouldn't have to defend the interim title so the champions can continue to dodge legit competition at the weight. It's been 2 years since a #1 or even a top 5 guy got a shot at the title.
Bisping shouldn't have fought tonight IMO. 3 weeks after a tough fight he was almost stopped by strikes in before being choked out shows a lack of care by the UFC and his team.
